One-on-one RP partner finding thread!

So I noticed that as far as I can find, there's no real consolidated thread for people looking for one-on-one RP partners. I WILL FIX THIS.

I actually made this thread primarily because I myself need a one-on-one SU RP (with me as Amethyst or possibly Pearl) like burning. Specifically a shitty high school AU. Shitty high school AUs are my lifeblood. I'm awful.

Anyone else looking for a one-on-one RP of any sort, or who's interested in an idea someone else has, feel free to post what you're looking for!

yes hi I would like some of this. I generally do "short para" which is really just para except I'm naturally laconic. I've been told it's information-dense and doesn't come off as lazy next to other paragraphs the way I often feel like it does? Hopefully that holds true.

Bad Things Happen To My Faves is a particular fondness of mine. I also like to be less focused on shipping than a lot of people. I have... oh, various fandoms and fandom OCs, Steven Universe seems to be the most popular of the things I'm into right now, and interfandom crossovery stuff is also fine!

Edit: oh, also original settings, those are also good.

 

i'm probably pretty rp-committed already, with the weirdmaggedon tango and my norm the genie roleplay blog on tumblr, but i wanna put myself in here, anyway. i mostly roleplay norm the genie (from fairly oddparents). my usual rp format is para, and the length of my paras is variable, ultimately dependent on what my character is responding too and how much they have to say. i like romance (particularly slash and i'm open to nsfw), Bad Things Happening To My Faves, and i'm open to crossovers and whatnot, whether i'm familiar with the other fandoms or not. it would be nice if someone else here was familiar enough with fop to play a character from that canon or an oc based in that setting, but i know that's unlikely.

im definitely just gonna put myself here bc large groups for rp tend to stress me out so i avoid participating even if theyre super interesting so......! hmu!!!

eta: id be down for fantroll stuff and original world stuff more likely than not - im a big fan of like......u know those tumblr posts that have all those cool things that mix modern life with magic? yes. those.

 

I love doing one on one and have been doing a lot of sci-fi and modern fantasy! I usually play on skype or other messengers but I'm willing to adapt.

I tend to do short paras, though depending on the scene/medium of gaming they can go longer or shorter, especially if my brain is failing to can. :p

I run the gamut for ratings, though I've been enjoying things that go towards the rougher end. I love slice of life fantasy and plot driven by characters and their development.

I tend to go for OCs and Original Settings, as I can dig into the heads of my own characters best.

I don't have a huge amount of time to dedicate to RP stuff and not much experience, either, but I'd really like to stretch my legs some. I have a few gemsonas I'd love to play around with, but I'm also a fan of superhero type stuff and crossovers are always fun for me. I'd consider myself flexible when it comes to fandom things? And I default to para RP.

Fair warning though, I'm not a fan of romance-driven or romance-heavy things.

i love hurt/comfort, nsfw shit, and really bad nasty abusive shit because that's always fun...

I tend to be pretty decent at matching length, and being descriptive and stuff. sorry i'm bad at selling myself.

heyyyyy so i'd be interested in RPing with people- either here on the forum or my usual method of 'pile into a googledoc and colourcode your posts'. i can certainly RP trollstuff (i have a shitton of fantrolls), and with a bit of discussion up-front i'm generally pretty good at inventing and jumping into new scifi or fantasy settings

but uh my more recent interest has been Alien Vs Predator/Predator-series stuff! i've never RPed it but i would be totally keen to test new grounds with anyone also into the series (or, worst comes to worst, if you're a fan of Alien/AVP/Predator stuff then we can just chatter about it haha)

N0t really looking for purely one on one, a small group would do as well.

I like fantasy, high fantasy, modern-day fantasy, but especially more historic or steampunk stuff. give me reasons to put my characters in chemises and i'll be happy. . I also love me some mythical creatures. I am very out of my depth in science fiction, mostly because i can't bullshit about highfalutin faux science as well as some of my past partners! I would also be amenable to some sort of underwater setting.

Settings I am familiar with:

Skyrim, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Harry Potter, the Wii generation of Harvest Moon games

I'm also down for world building a unique setting! I have one of my own that needs fleshing out since i haven't really gotten to dwarves/elven/fairy/goblin cultures. What can I say, I preferred roleplaying wizards as a kid. I also have a set of gods that I don't take very seriously but tend to get good ratings from folks, if anyone's into an elemental based magic style and random encounters with monsters and underground cities of monsters (not to be confused with the sparkly elves who also live underground and just Want To Be Left Alone)

Of course, for a less fantasy role-play I'm 500 percent down always to play a simple turnip farmer moaning about the bourgeoisie to her neighbor.

I am very uncomfortable playing canon characters whom are not meant to be Player Characters, sorry all.

(I only have the messaging on Kintsugi and Skype if we end up with a one on one rp or if someone just prefers that to a forum thread. I can be persuaded to use another messaging app if someone literally holds my hand a bit to get it downloaded and set up because i hate that stuff.)

I'm unlikely to be online every day bc i am just so goddamn exhausted most of the time but Effort Will Be Made. v happy to do Potterverse/MC/Stardew or try to cobble some turnip farmer/fantasy/steampunk worldbuilding up together. i haven't roleplayed freeform in a good while so might take a bit to get used to again? but i write (or pretend to write, idk) and play dnd so i should be fine really. (and i can actually do grammar rules i promise i just rarely bother on social media/forums)

@ folks in general if anybody else is interested hello I can also do homestucks (ocs and canon both good, god, i have so many OCs), and HP, and MCU, and doctor who, and Always Fond Of People Getting Stabbed (With Vampire Teeth, Maybe), and bunch of smaller fandoms (sense8, orphan black, person of interest, too many to list anyway), and also we can just do our own ocs that is very very good. shipping v cool but absolotely not required. nsfw mild/fade to black. other stuff discussable.

skype works but is real slow on the laptop and unusuable on the phone, discord works better, kintsugi threads/pms is yes, pesterchum is also yes.

edit: gmt +2 / eastern european time, that's probably good to mention too, i think it's mostly US folks here. :P
