I think that if you're on a battlefield you don't have much choice about killing.

I think if someone's trying to kill you and you kill them, they knew the risks of trying to kill someone include getting killed yourself.

I think if you hold down a child and kill her, that's pretty much murder, because there are other things you can do about a child even if she is gunning for you, after you've caught her. And I come from a long line of people who were trained as children as assassins.
