baked goods...well, I have plenty of those. I baked a bunch yesterday because anxiety. I suppose I could bury it without too much question from parents. and then do tarot. thanks!! I think I'll do that in a bit.

I have no idea, tbh. pink = love is such a dumb idea. and if that's what you associate cherrywood with, then it will work in that fashion for you, probably. a wand that's 'illusion of gentleness wrapped around a core of strength' might be good for, say, illusion spells or protection spells.

 

I could imbue beauty diy stuff with illusion power so I look even more intimidatingly gorgeous (<- hyperbole for humerous effect)

I shall hit up any sources I know and if I can't find anything i might try to get in contact with a person doing dishes and cutlery from wood and ask them if they could make me a stir-thing from cherry IT CAN'T BE THAT HARD

What made me happier about exploring the whole business was letting go of any need to prove any of it to be objectively real or true. That's not the point of it, for me. It's about what I personally feel and think, and by definition that cannot be objective. But that doesn't matter, not really.

ermmmmm. I am a baby tech, herb, and psychic abilities witch--I don't deal too much in crystals or the like, though I'm trying to get more involved in other things. I'm...mainly a tech witch rn though, so I dunno how much help I'll be...sorry.

 

Okay so I'm mostly working with herbs in the home remedy beauty and health sector. Whcih might not be very magic-y and more science-y but that might actually help you some! there is a ton of books on what herbs were and still are used in which ways and how to prepare them for usage! I ahve a ton of material so if you have a specific thing in mind I can probably look up in my materials what you could use to help the thign do what it's supposed to.
I usually use a mixture of symbolic value and known effects when coming up with ideas. And while I haven't done much yet, I'm partial to infusing mazerating oils with herbs and using them in food and including natural, diy things in my beauty routine.
Things I want to do once I have time:

• try to mix my own herbal tea
• make a skin soothing tincture for self-pampering calm down routine.
• I kinda want to make my own cold cream? idk calendula sounds like a good idea for that maybe.
• make good luck satchels to put in my things (I need to buy cinnamon sticks for that hah)
• Bake a bread to promote general health and well being, maybe it will shut my joints up.

 

But I only started doing witchy things last year lol
To name drop, Hildegard von Bingen's treatment methods for the medieval times are still practiced in herbal medicine today by some practicioners and there is a decent number of books dtailing her methods to give you a general idea of what can be done with herbs and plants

 

What I really like about my craft:
I think kitchen witchery has the plus point of looking really... inoffensive and normal? You're just getting into a fancy food hobby! Nothing to see here I just bought dried mint for the next cake I'm baking! what? these rose petals? uhhh a super fancy salad! yes!
it's not even a lie it's literally the truth but it would definitly be a little extra than normal food :P

 

also! I want to make more foods out of flowers! Pansies and monk's cress look so great and taste pretty good! Chive flowers! all the flowers!

yeeeeeesssssss a lot of flowers are edible! obviously you have to buy them organic bc of teh pesticides or grow your own, but!!
violets and roses are very popular for desserts, pansies as I mentioned (though they don't taste like much? other than salad-y I guess? but the point is the LOOK pretty). And monk's cress is your all purpose 'I want somethign easy to take care of, that looks really cute and that I can eat literally every part of' plant. bright orange and red flowers, pepper-y taste. @Zuki I did do my usual "get to know this stone" meditation, both right after it had been cleansed and when it started feeling angry again. The day after its moonbath it felt really... sleepy, closed off. (I didn't write down the direct impressions I got, but what I remember-- the pitch-black warmth of a deep cave system, a cat too tired to chase prey, the not-quite-silence of a calm spring night.) About as close to 'answer cloudy, try again later' as I've ever gotten from a rock, actually.
I went through my stones again a few days after that, and got the darn Do Not Touch vibes from the malachite again. Sat down to investigate some more, and got a lot of the same angry sharp feelings I felt from it before it was 'cleansed'. I really need to start writing down these things right after I do them, memory is unreliable. It is currently quarantined in its own little pouch until it can get buried without being lost in winter weather.
If I knew anyone else irl who was into the rock magic, I'd see if it reacted better to them, but alas =/

Divination is not really my speed, unless you count the above "meditate and invite the stone to 'talk'" method. Been considering working some kind of system out for curiosity's sake, but as I currently only have two stones I'm really in tune with results would be a little narrow.
