HES RUNNING AROUND A FUCKING BLACK HOLE TO STOP IT. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. HES RUNNING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE "ACCRETION DISK" and, SOMEHOW,this will stop it
"I know your dad put a bomb in Lisa." ^this included for general out-of-context absurdity, not anti-science
Barry just broke into an electronic safe by REALLY QUICKLY trying every combination, which I don't think is - LOL NVM A GUY JUST FROZE A GRID OF LASERS WITH A COLD GUN AND KNOCKED THEM OUT OF THE AIR, WE HAVE BIGGER PROBLEMS
To be fair, it could be a really terrible safe that doesn't have a basic protection programmed in to lock it down after however many failed access attempts.
I am trying not to think about that because I'm beginning to suspect this show might be an extremely roundabout assassination attempt against me.
I do not ever want to see a fusion of those two terrible people. It might actually manage to be even more terrifying than Jackson by himself, which is a feat.
The writers of this show are under the impression that you can only go at terminal velocity while going downwards. Like even if you're, say, a super-powerfully fast guy running down a building, you can only go at terminal velocity
Btw, one point in Barry's favor is that he at one point uses his super speed to vortex a test tube by hand. <3 I'd do that if I had super speed.
is that what we see in the intro when he's talking about how, like, he works as an ordinary forensic whatever when he's not being the flash?
Yup! He does it at one point in the show, too, but I don't remember when. Having spent a stupid amount of time wrangling half-broken vortexers in my molecular bio class and subsequent fly work, this makes me happy.
:D thanks! i'm glad i was right. i pretty much guessed based on the meanings of vortex i'm aware of, and the context the word was being used in, since i'm totally not a scientist, haha.
Now they're dosing Barry with sodium chlorate because it.. has... oxygen in it? And when Barry runs fast the heat from his lightning will break it down into a "nearly pure gas" that will allow him to run faster. I don't know much about biochemistry, but that seems sketchy af
Wait, ok, the diagrams were definitely of tetrahedral molecules. With covalent bonds. Where were the sodiums???
I mean, sodium chlorate actually does break down into sodium hypochlorite, sodium chloride, and oxygen when it gets hot enough, but I thought the whole point of the superspeed powers were that he didn't... need to worry about physicsy stuff like getting insanely hot because he was going so fast... Also I'm not clear on how having a trail of oxygen gas at like 300 degrees C behind him would make any difference to how fast he can run.
