Guessing she lets Shasana do what she want with it- sure, keep it preserved and fresh for me, thanks bro- but ultimately plans to use it for her own ends. What ends might those be? Few brainstorms- do something akin to what Diva did with Ragini, putting herself inside Sharess's body just as the underworld collapses into half-leaderless chaos, becoming instant messiah figure and getting the devotion of the populace (flaws here are whether Snadya even knows that's a thing that can be done- the book was sealed with Diva and seems not terribly likely that Snadya could have fished it out ahead of time?) Or maybe she plans on using the body as a summon or component of a summon, like she's done with staff in Orthobbae, so as to have a puppet messiah instead- or even wait till Shasana succeeds, but then before Sharess can do anything, nab her aura in a gem like she's done other drow (most recently that imperial guard back in Invitation) and use it for Nefarious Purposes. :U I dunno! Probably way off the mark.
a summon is more likely, seeing as snads was all hurr durr drow ruled by drow GET THOSE DAMN DOKKALFAR OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT, so i doubt she'd assume a dokkalfar form.
As I recall, the book was super duper secret, and relied a lot on having the actual physical book; plus Diva needed Ragini to draw the circles and stuff herself, and the body ended up looking a lot like Diva anyhow, so even if Snads jumped to Sharess' body then she'd look like herself.

My takeaway: Spoiler AAAAAAH SNADHYA HAS THE SAME POWER AS ANAHID how did I not catch that back when Anahid first displayed her ability also holy cats is Anahid related to the dearly departed Yuh'le? She really looks like her when she's using her powers; look at that last panel- both the empathy effects and her physical appearance! And Yuh'le DID used to be a Kyorl, if I recall rightly. Sadly, as per Kern's news post, no more Kyorl-centric chapters :( Obviously they'll be around, but no more storylines centering around them. (Also he confirmed that the Vanaheimr plot got cut. Q_Q) Any speculation about the next chapter, too? Spoiler: Speculatory spoilers No way that both Zala and Quain make it through that chapter- at least one of them if not both have gotta be dropping before the next timeskip. Moreover, look at the cameo list- the Sarghress cameos either list Quain'tana, Suu'be, and a couple other one-offs under the 'loyalty' column. (also nooo Ilmssyn why are you loyal to Snads now? You had such sweet interactions in that side story with Vaelia and the rest of the squad.) Hinting at some sort of power struggle? Suu'be rebelling against Quain's agreement to work with the Sharen alliance (plus possibly a desire to oust Quain and install Koil'dorath before Ariel becomes experienced and respected enough to take leadership herself)?
What I'm confused about is, the sin-seeing talent feels like it would be really weird for that to show up in two unrelated bloodlines (oh god that sentence makes no sense.) But Snadhya is the daughter of an actual dokkalfar, and Anahid appears to be very drowussu, so I have no idea how they could be related.
i've been confused - where does it say that snads has some kind of power? beyond bullshitting and logic, i mean. it's interesting that fame is a snads-loyal vloz, i wonder how that happened. and also, laele is back ::D i have an au in which syphile was seeded with a more intelligent demon to spy for snad, and the demon talked to syphile a lot and convinced her to let it act whenever she was too done with stuff to care, and then ate her and completely took her place. said demon also took a liking to the sarghress and is working on reconstructing laele's aura. quite a few people suspect something is off.
Chrys suggested that Snads had some way to see within, since she saw things about Chrys that she really shouldn't have known, and that sounds very similar to Anahid's ability to see into people's souls. However, I don't think that what happened supports that? Or she has the ability to sense taints, which would be different from Anahid's power, I think. (Also looking for this page I was reminded that Vloz loyalty in the face of Kharla's hunger was 'wellp, good luck boss!' while jumping over a wall. Sad to see that clan go.) Wait, LAELE? Where did THAT come from? I've been wondering whether she'd show up again or just be another relic of early chapters...

Honestly with Ash gone and about half of the Sullisin being Nids, and between Quain who really doesn't want the job and Zala who really shouldn't get it (nevermind Snads)... Empress Faen sounds good. Especially since she received tutoring from the previous Empress. -throw brain in hallway because its 1am, do not take me seriously-
New chapter starting Monday! Presumably it'll be about the clans, and our leading ladies, dealing with the fallout of the Sharen-Sarghress alliance, whether that alliance will hold, the puppeteer event, the fall of the Vloz (and all the vengefulness that everyone's going to be feeling towards them) and what will become of Snadhya's plans. Politics and heart-punches, here we go!
Anyone want to lay wagers on what named characters are getting the axe before the chapter is out? I'm almost certain that Zala isn't making it out (there is a dose of cure available if it hasn't already been given to the Jaals, but I doubt she gets it), and I wouldn't be surprised if Quain finally bit it as well. The fallout from those two dying would create some major shifts that could create an interesting starting point post-timeskip (the Sarghress would almost certainly dissolve or, more likely, splinter- some would probably back Ariel but she's definitely not in a position to take over the whole clan smoothly if Quain kicks the bucket). I hope Sil'lice lives, I like her, but I dunno what her odds are. Curious what Diva will do in this chapter, if anything. I hope Kyo'one makes an appearance, last we saw her she was drooping shamefacedly because of deceiving Ariel and Faen into going to the dinner, and all the nonsense that came of that, so I'd be interested to see what she's up to now. But last we saw she was still in Felde (though she could have come on Snadya's airship?), so I dunno.
Since the Kyorl storyline is wrapped up, I think Chiri, Shan, and Anahid are safe... Hm Nau? To To break Kiel even more, and traumatize Chrys some? Shinae? Killed at Chrys' hands, to her despair? Ash'waren? IDK why, but wasn't she worried about assassins before?
Personally I'll bet Nau's safe, I think Kiel's plot (at least before the timeskip) is pretty much done as of the events of Puppetteer, so while she might poke her nose in I doubt there'll be more upheavals in her storyline for now. (Nau had better merge with his seed though, or his and Kiel's romance might still be chancy in the long run). Honestly no idea what'll become of Shinae! I doubt she'll survive in the long run, but I have no idea how things between her and Chrys will fall out- whether they'll end up fighting to the death as happens with some protector twins, as Chrys has desperately tried to avert, or if things will end otherwise. Yeah, I dunno what's up with Ash- but Quain said she did flee Chel, so unless she comes back or we get a perspective shift out of Chel to wherever she is, she might be safe? Unless she gets nailed offscreen, there was at least one Sul who took the poison at Felde and seemed intent on using it.
