What i like about this conversation is that it went from fixing body parts to welcoming a new guy to complaining about brothers to alternate time lines. I havent had something this complex since my time in vault 114. Long story short, I followed a dame like Valiska, but got held up by a mob boss and his men.

 

That's better than making at least 10 of yourself to flirt with someone, which I may or may not have done...

Stan told me you intended to kidnap me and were very upset when we pulled that little trick on you. I have no idea whether your purpose was to drag me back to Bill, or something else entirely, but I'm not interested in either one. I touched the hilt of Lady Teldra - currently in her standard short-sword form - and felt a wave of friendly interest towards Valiska. I wondered how that would feel to her; to people who aren't bonded to Great Weapons, they typically give off psionic impressions that range from indifferent to malevolent, even when sheathed. (Unsheathed, any one of them will make everyone around want to be somewhere very far away. I've been in the presence of more than one. I don't recommend it.) But none of them, so far as I knew, had the soul and sense of courtesy of an Issola.

This is a Great Weapon. There are said to be 17 of them on our world, originally created to destroy gods. They're a form of Morganti weapon - swords that destroy the souls of their victims - but they're sentient, and they bond to their chosen bearers. When this one was reformed she absorbed the soul of an Issola friend of mine, Lady Teldra, but her name before that was Godslayer.

But if I'd gone there first I'd be unprepared, and I hate walking into situations unprepared.

Our world seems to be a magnet for that sort of thing. It does give us a lot of practice fighting them off.

Valiska's right, Sunshine. Bill doesn't care at all about freedom, human rights or anything like that. I mean, I used to believe he did too, but... then, he put me back in a lamp. After Julissa freed me. Which was, funnily enough, pretty much why I joined his side, 'cause she gave me my freedom. So... the dorito demon is an idiot too, not just an asshole. Just.... dude, Bill Cipher's not on your side. Like, I know it must be nice, it must be nice, to think Bill Cipher's on your side, but... he really isn't. The only side he's on is his own. *sighs*

I know the appeal of someone who offers you your freedom and a better world, but... I also know that all the offers Bill makes are full of shit.
