    waffle fries are excellent, crinkle-cut fries are, like... too soggy/soft for me, often?

    i know what you mean, you definitely have to get the good ones. the del taco by my house has stepped up its game recently and the fries there are always perfectly crispy & delicious.

    these and curly fries are just about the only fries i'll eat, drowned in some kinda sauce. also i vaguely remember the freedom fries thing but they were also a huge joke in my town, despite it being pretty heavily right wing. my brother used to call democrats "democrappys" -_-

    can I get some good luck vibes for my First Ever Job Interview tomorrow? my mom works there, and she assures me it will be a very informal interview, but aaaaaaaaaa

    things I'm worried about:
    • that I'll start crying (alarmingly possible, but less likely than it would have been a year ago)
    • that she'll ask me about transportation - actually you know what I did research today and I'm satisfied with the transportation-related answers I could give. so that's fine
    • that she'll realize I have noodle arms and therefore she probably shouldn't hire me for this greenhouse job?? she's a badass who does iron man races and I feel somewhat inadequate
    • that that thing that happened during my college interview happens, where I bluescreen for a full minute and then say a paragraph of nonsense*
    • that I just won't get it bc someone else is better-qualified and I'll be disproportionately sad
    • that I will get it and then I'll hate it
    it's gonna be fine though. it's gonna be fine.

    best case: the interview is a situation that activates my secret (? usually only present in academic settings) talking to people powers, I get the job, it's great.
    worst case: I start crying and she's mad and doesn't hire me.
    likely outcome: it's stressful but not awful and I either get the job or don't and honestly I'm fine either way

    *i did get into that college, though. so I guess the rest of the interview made up for it. :P

    "Steak fries", obviously, because who even are you people. Thin fries are an abomination and a tragedy. They make me sad just to look at them.

    @blue good luck! <3

    No, the true fries to rule them all are ribbon fries, although those are such a pain to make at home, so normally I just wait until the fair comes around. Although it's hard to prepare fried potato and salt a bad way, I must say.

    @blue good luck!

    @blue It's true all fries are beautiful in their own way.

    Also butterfly fries are amazing.

    AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR INTERVIEW! Advice: if they ask you what your strengths/weaknesses are do a generic weakness. "I don't have experience in green house work but I'm willing to learn" etc. Giving advice because I hate that goddamn question and after 5 really bad interviews had to practice not blue screening as you put it.

    Also "why do you want to work here?" That question is dumb. I need to work to make money so I'm not homeless is the only true answer to that question.

    I appreciate the merits of all varieties of fried potato, but my truest love is reserved for really crispy steak fries. With seasoned salt. <3

    God I thought about chip butties and now I want one. I haven't had one for like ten years. They're surely not as good as I remember.

    i googled this and found out you guys don't call ketchup ketchup? that kinda mystifies me even though it makes sense. also what is brown sauce?

    extra: this is just me being a picky eater and having a general hate for all things potato unless drowned in thousand island, barbeque sauce, or sweet and sour sauce; but why would anyone just put fries on bread and call it a day

    Brown sauce. What's it made of? Science doesn't know!
    It's made of... brown.
    Brown... mined from the earth by the hardscrabble brown miners of North Brownderton.
