I used this in a campaign as the dark-loving fae's theme in their desire to destroy the player character who was the unknowing source of light and safety for the rest of the party... ( think trolls that can't live in the light )
I have listened to that song at least 50 times in the last few days. I think I have a crush on her. Or maybe I want to be her. Or to just be as delighted about doing whatever I please as she is. Either way, does anyone know what... like... sort of music her song is? I really want to listen to more things with that kind of... energetic and threatening bounce to it. Chicago's "They Had It Coming" seems of a type.
I think they're both possibly tangos? Not really sure how many tangos go for threatening rather than romantic but they seem to have that bounce and rhythmic pattern, so maybe? I'm terrible with names and blanking out on who around here actually knows things about music.
google search for ominous tango brought me to this, so i am thinking you're right. and double confirmed as villain song: aka
Big and Loud is possibly my favorite just because the singer is actually a kid, and that level of sheer bombastic terror coming from an eleven-year-old is just delightful.
I'm trying to remember more non-disney villain songs that were good (even if the movie itself was awful) (Kind of quiet, as a heads up when you play this vs other videos to make sure you change the volume back down) It doesn't EXACTLY count as a villain song, but not only does Ramses (the villain) have lines in it, God's tone and punishments riff off villain tactics in that it mirrors the prior villain song (playing with the big boys now). They played with fire and got burned.
And this wouldn't post with the others, but it's the last one I can think of! If I remember correctly the Nazi and KKK symbolism was heavily edited out when they released the movie in the US (It's a British(?) film originally).
the secret of nimh song reminded me of fern gully because they were near each other at blockbuster, so:
