Things that are currently annoying you

[Reconsidered whether this post was a good idea and decided it wasn't. Summary: frustrating things on work trip, ready to go home now please and thank you.]

 

I made the mistake of buying the Goblin Emperor as an audiobook, and god help me I have no idea who anyone is. There's a lot of vars? Multi syllable names? Name changes based on rank?? I'm so lost, holy shit. It's really good tho.

 

Read Roach's fic and now I'm even more confused. I had imagined so many word shapes that ended up being dead wrong, holy shit.

 

Schedules for the week are supposed to be up by 8am Fridays. Guess what isn't up?

Good to know returning-manager hasn't changed...

All I want is to copy these photos from my phone to my computer. This worked a week ago. Why the fuck does the computer think the phone has 0 files on it.

Trying to explain to someone who has never been on foodstamps, or required any kind of assistance or services, that yes, they do ask about your finances and question you quite closely about how much money you have in savings, and how much is in your bank account, to the point of demanding bank statements from you, and demanding the contact information of people you get money from. *headdesking forever* He wants me to be more deceptive so I don't lose benefits. He really means well but he just doesn't get how many hoops the government makes you jump through to acquire barely adequate services that you can lose at the drop of a hat.

 

Last Wednesday, I lent a friend a highlighter. Never got it back, asked about it today. Apparently, last Thursday, that friend gave the highlighter to a mutual friend to give back to me. Mutual friend says she did indeed give it back to me, but I have NO MEMORY of this happening. I am wondering if she gave it to me but I didn't realize she had given it to me (quite likely, this has happened before with me, such as when someone sets something of mine with my things but I didn't put it there so it didn't register as mine so I left it there).

I'm not really annoyed with my friend, I don't think she's being deceptive or anything, but one of use is not remembering correctly and I still don't have my highlighter. DX

 

Insurance won't cover my therapy appointments unless the therapist's office first tries to bill the primary insurance that I do not have

 

I woke up at two AM last night to my phone ringing: unknown number. My moirail doesn't allow her number to be seen, so getting a call from an unknown number isn't a strange occurrence, but at two AM? Not so much. The call ends before I can answer it. I immediately text my moirail, wait two minutes, no response. I'm quite worried - she wouldn't call in the middle of the night unless it was really important. I call her.

Turns out it was just some random unknown number. She had fallen asleep about 90 minutes earlier...and now I'd woken her up. And she has hella issues getting to sleep. And she had just managed to fix her sleep schedule.

Why, universe? Why??

 

i got fired due to my department being overstaffed, oops. i'm alright financially for now and it was explicitly a "it's not you, it's the industry/economy" situation buuuut. now i gotta go through the ole updating my resume and cover letters and uuuuughghgh. and i live relatively near ex-work so i'm probably gonna run into a former coworker at the corner store or something.

 

I am very annoyed when complicated issues with complicated historical, conservations, and cultural issues are summed up with “white dude stole it”, but for the most part I sit on my fucking hands because it’s not a fight worth having with most people. Still very annoyed tho.

 

I'm exhausted, soaked, and covered in dirt, and my ride home from work (which is what caused this state) is stuck in traffic, prolonging the time I have to sit damply in Starbucks before I can go home and shower and sleep.

 

I have pain in my hips for no reason. Stupid hips/thighs.

@unknownanonymous probably because they scanned it that way and literally did not know how to rotate it. that or they did a mass scan and literally didn't look at the output.
