    Or, Nai liveblogs the stray cat in the garage having kittens.

    BACKGROUND: Midget showed up and made friendly sounds at us about October of last year. She is a small and still kind of wild tabby who REALLY LIKES PEOPLE, does not like getting picked up, and got herself pregnant over the winter. (She quite snuck up on us with her Lady Yowls, oops.)

    As a result, AS OF TONIGHT, there are kittens.

    Two as of this posting, with more seemingly on the way - There were 2-3 fathers involved and we estimate from Her Roundness that there's 4-5 kittens. So far all seems well. Updates to follow.

    yep! cats and dogs can have litters where babbies can have several fathers!

    Technically, it's entirely possible for humans as well, it's just extremely rare that you have a set of fraternal twins+ when the mother has had sex with multiple dudes in the relevant time period. It's one egg+one sperm per baby, nothing says they all have to be sperm from the same male.

    We are up to five squeaky lumps! She seems mostly done but we can't be sure yet.

    Lol you too? Our momma just had kittens a few days ago, 5 of them c: two calico, one white and black, one white and sort of brown tabby, and one black with lots of little white guard hairs on his legs
