sew them yourself? they are mad easy to make. I can write up a tutorial if you give me like an hour because dinner is ready and I'll go eat now.
Otherwise Chapati is a small designer company that makes mad pretty goa hippie stuff you could look at? it's a BIT more expensive, but the cutest harem pants I've ever seen :3

thanks for the recommendation. I'll try making a pair. i found a few patterns (i always thought they would be difficult to make derp) we'll see how they turn out, im not be best at sewing 'cause shaking hands- speaking of shaky hands i'm terrible at makeup. I finally managed passible foundation (i bought a beautyblender knockoff, it's so much easier for me than brushes) but still have severe issues with eyeliner/mascara. i tried the "anchor hand on face" thing but i always end up with raccoon eyes/smudges on my lids/undereyes. is it possible o forego eyestuff or is there another trick im missing?

It is certainly possible to forego eyestuff entirely. Something Ido when I´m in a hurry which may work for you is rubbing some eyeshadow on the lid with a finger and then blending it out a lot. As long as you make sure to blend, and don´t use too much it will give you just a verysoft eyeshadow look and doesn´t take any precision at all.
You can also use eyeshadow to line your eyes and again smudge that out. As long as you don´t use dark colours and blend it well it doesn´t look panda-y-

have you got your elbow braced on something? i'm at my most steady when i lean my elbow on my bathroom counter (i have to do that anyway because i have to press my face up super close to my mirror to be able to see what i'm doing) and then just take deep breaths, try and go sloooooow. also maybe don't use liquid products- you can take some matte black eyeshadow and a teeny tiny angled brush for liner, it's always a bit easier to control/clean up after the fact (that's usually what i use when i feel like doing my waterline, i hate liquid eyeliner down there & it always smudges)

and of course you really don't have to wear any of this stuff, only wear what you're comfortable with, if you still make mistakes you can clean them up after the fact (do the stuff you're messiest with first, clean up, continue w/ face)

and this is my favorite post re: unsteady hands & makeup

ymmv but one of my favorite Looks with makeup is no eyemakeup at all and super dark or weird colored bold lipstick.
eyemakeup is certainly a thing where a lot of people have different favorites or hacks to do it.

Ok so this is a weird thing to have anxiety over, but I know I'm not alone in it, so...

I bought some dark red pants the other day because they were v pretty and I could pair them with other things in my closet (burnt orange shirt, for example), but for some reason actually wearing them with anything but black is stupidly anxiety-inducing and idk why? So if someone can advise on how to wear coloured pants with coloured shirts without being an eyesore I would super appreciate it.

(They are about this colour, for reference)

    pair red with teal always
I've never had problems with throwing colors at each other, but one thing i've heard might help is make bed-coords (or floor-coords but that can get dirt on clothes)
which is when you lay out all the clothes of your outfit flat with eachother to kinda get a feel for how the colors and texture interact? That way you could start playing with color palettes.
With that particular red i think autumn leaves (so oranges browns, yellows and reds with maybe a few washed-out-greens here and there) will probably be cool

tentative makeup-y question: i Do Not wear makeup, i've bought aome lipsticks here and there, tried to do foundation, occasionally eyeliner, but it never works out because i dont bother with/have no idea how to do primer or anything. especially in the winter, like, i just didnt bother since i assumed anything would just get smudged onto my scarf/balaclava.

anyway, an actual question: I sort of want to try BB cream, but the two times ive bought foundation the store person recommended the wrong shade. or it looked correct under store lights but then later was like "wait no what colour is this??". altho part of the issue may have been that it was a drugstore, so maybe they werent too knowledgeable idk. anyway! how do i figure out what shade to get? and or how do i go about the whole asking thing? I'm like 23 and autistic lol i have no clue

and in terms of stores, around here i basically have, like, maybe some specific makeup place at the mall, and a bunch of Shoppers Drug Marts. no sephora except back in my parents town.

that's hard. Drugstores generally don't have any actual knowledge of the makeup stores.
What you want to do is take the tester tube of the foundation and apply a small amount right on the edge of your jaw to see whether it fits with both the skin on your face and your neck. Foundation should be as close as possible in color to your actual skin, err on the side of slightly lighter, darker foundation makes people look orange.

I have real trouble wearing coloured skirts or trousers because I'm so used to jeans, which read as "neutral" to me. On the plus, I think generally other people don't notice a sudden increase in your colourfulness nearly as much as you yourself do.

I think I'd put red trousers with white or cream on top, either plain or with a little print for smart, or for casual some kind of white t shirt with a colourful silk-screen pattern e.g.

Also I read this when I was walking to uni and there was coincidentally a dude wearing red trousers directly in front of me.

I've been looking into pressing my powders like this and I was wondering if anyone knew of another way of doing it that didn't use rubbing alcohol? or do i not have to worry about it being drying/irritating?

So, in the time since I've been here, I've successfully aquirred Kat Von d's Poe.
    IT'S SO PRETTY
and Gold Blooded, and a really pretty dark red from a different brand that is a) a dupe for a discontinued red I loved and b) best aradia red.
    pictures coming eventually.

can i ventpost for a sec? being AFAB and soft-butch-ish, I'm kind of frustrated with clothes rn. Even just looking for ideas for outfits, haircuts, presentation stuff in general, you've gotta take advice/ideas for people shaped like you, and then fold in advice for people who dress like you want to dress. bleh.

it's like, heyyyy do you want a shirt that doesn't have a really wide neckline that shows everyone that you're wearing a sports bra? whoops I guess you've gotta either dress like your grandmother or go to the men's section of a few specific stores that carry shirts for smaller men/larger boys. and then those tend to be fast fashion so some of my shirts from last summer are already pilling and it sucks??

it's the good ole venn diagram of "fits", "my style", "in my budget", and probably another circle labelled "comfortable" since i hate shirts that have to be buttoned up and tucked in. bleh bluh bleuargh.

I'm not looking forward to having to buy new pants for the warmer weather either. pants suck, sorting through the available options sucks, shopping sucks, also i'm tired rn so it's really unappealing. I'm being pessimistic here, but it annoys me going to places like pinterest for ideas and feeling like nothing's for me, outside of the relatively few butch/soft-butch style boards. bluh!

That said, I did find out that I can get decent v-neck tees in the boy's section at Old Navy, even if the colours are very limited. Also I saw a greenblue lipstick at walmart the last time I was there, I'm not sure if I should bother with it or if it'd look good but I like it? It's Hard Candy "Fierce Effects" in Jealousy, looks fairly Kanaya-ish.

I procured new things because of course i fucking did you can't take me places without me running the risk of buying random stuff
I might post pictures if the mood strikes me but just know that 1) the floral soft butch aesthetic is love, life and everything else and 2) I now own a t-shirt-dress-thingie that says "In Memory Of When I Cared" and it's pretty much the best fucking thing i ever owned
I also bought makeup, because i need to be whacked continuously with rolled up newspapers to keep me from buying makeup. A lip powder which idk if i can work with it at all but it's bright purple and I love weird lip-thingies :3
and bright spring green liquid eyeliner because YES and a pretty chill taupe-y grey eyeshadow bc an enby needs some base colors, I can't just always wear orange or green makeup :P

I still haven't actually bought a proper black lipstick, but after this most recent experiment I don't know if I need to oh gods this is glorious.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I decided to try using my UD eye pencil, because the amount of pigment in those things is amazing on my eyes and what the hell, i'm gonna be a bedroom lump today anyway so no one can judge me. These pictures were after drinking a cup of coffee and eating a pile of off-brand cheetos. The staying power is phenomenal, the color is thick and glorious, and I am a happy camper.

As far as I've been able to research, I don't see any risk factors in using this particular eye pencil on my lips? It's this one here.
