Hey Kintsugi Homestucks! Do you like stories about messed up kids? Do Homestuck pesterlogs make you laugh? Check out Paranatural! It's a fairly short archive binge but there's already lots of good material for theorycrafting and you'll always catch new things on a reread! Spoiler: Speaking of, something that occurred to me recently... So Spender and Lucifer were talking about an incident that happened 13 years ago. A few pages later, we learn that Isaac is actually 13. Coincidence? I think not! also where are isaac's parents, why is the only parental figure in his life a door, someone get this kid a responsible, healthy adult figure someone please get all these kids responsible, healthy adult figures. Spender does not count, Spender never counts.
The most important rule of Paranatural, for anyone interested in starting it: read every scrap of text in the comic. Not just alt text, I'm talking labels on food and book titles on shelves and stuff. Because it's like 90% likely to be hilarious.
This is why you'll catch new things every time! And there's pretty much no pages that're pure filler, even some of the early pages with no dialogue are establishing the setting
I LOVE THIS COMIC and i have the worst crush on zarei, the woooorst, my sketchbook is full of her, rest in pieces my heart and soul also i Struggle because half the fun is the alt text but i use my ipad as a laptop and am rarely on desktop so i cant....actually view......the alt text :") #r i p
UPDATE: DISCOVERED HOW TO VIEW ALT TEXT ON IPAD, BRB edit: update update, discovered it only works on the most recent page, >B(
One of my favorite things about Pnat is that the hero gang is fraught with intense interpersonal rivalries and messed-up relationships and the rival/bully gang are the ones with the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP. :::PPP
I have an entire folder of Johnny screenshots, because he is my garbage son who I adore (and also those panels tend to be some of the best ones for encouraging people to read the comic I've found.)
While I'm here, did anyone else take like two weeks after Agent Day was introduced to get the "love is blind" joke? Because I realized and then groaned for like a solid minute.
