@roach I do not know anything about macs so I don't know if you need to do prior setup for WINE, but there's instructions for that here. I've seen a fair amount of people saying it works well! Once a mac port comes out, you should be able to d/l and install that via steam with the same steam key.
Some of them are bullfrogs (during rain) and some are wolves/coyotes (during night), but the rest? Who the fuck even knows. Mermaid song? The wizard talks of mermaids living off the shore...
so i marathoned today - thirteen hours of gameplay back to where i was before i lost my save (please oh lord don't bug again) and doing considerably better than i was last time, because i know how to play this time lvl 5 in all but fishing, down to lvl 80 in the mines, have a lovely sprinklered crop and two cute chickens named Do and Re, and a silo full of hay gotten a crapton of bundles done (like over half a dozen) and am one crystal away from getting the minecarts back i am killin' it woooooo (now if only i could be better friends w/people... *hunts down non-decaying friendship mod*)
Ugh, I should have gotten the statue of perfection now that I'm in year 3, but I can't resummon grandpa and interacting with the shrine isn't doing anything besides bringing up the name. :( how do
Did Grandpa show up at all? If so, try offering the shrine a diamond. @Kaylotta you can back up your saves manually, they're kept in the %appdata%/Stardew Valley folder.
He did on the first day of spring, then showed up that night being all like 'yeah you're awesome'. Problem was that when I went to check the shrine for the statue or to offer it a diamond for another evaluation, it doesn't do anything (probably because I had 4 candles to begin with?). I'm probably going to need to delete some code or something to get it working again.

Well, my little campaign of adultery and broken promises has come to a close. I have 10 hearts with everyone. Sam's 10-heart scene really made me feel super creepy and predatory. He is such a good kid, he deserves none of this. :( It turns out I am okay with games making me feel bad if the game wasn't specifically constructed to trap me in a situation where it can go "you monster".
...but there's an achievement for reaching 10 hearts with 8 people at the same time what do you want from us CA
well yes - i'm just brain-running-into the "you want me to get to 10 hearts with everyone but a lot of the high-heart events are romantic" which seems ... not quite in the spirit of things? especially since the achievement name is "The Beloved Farmer" not something alluding to being a bit of a cad. maybe i am overmoralizing? i dunno. just strikes me as odd. :/ feels like there ought to be romance-specific events for higher-heart events on a romantic path (maybe tagged with specific gifts?)...
A lot of people have been wishing for friendship equivalents to the bouquet, and I agree. It'd be nice if we could give them around six hearts, so the singles don't get their hopes up. It's kind of cringey to see all of these people making huge hints about living on a farm when you really, really don't think about them that way.
I really want this, especially if the creator also dummies in romance options with Emily and Shane, as people have been requesting for the next patch. It seems like doing all of that together at the same time would be the most logical way of going about it, since you won't have to change two of the friendship routes at all (just add two romance sidereals, and ten friendship ones) and you won't worry about screwing up people's games who already have 10-heart friendships with Shane and Emily.
We just got this game a few days ago and both me and my matesprite are obsessed. I've just gotten to summer, Y1. Maru plz love me and be in lesbians with meeeee. Or Leah. Or Penny. Or Abigail. Honestly why can't I marry all the girls?? I even like Haley. I find her stuckupness amusing. I'm less universally sold on the guys. I like Elliott and Sebastian, and maybe Harvey (tho can I ask him to shave his creeper stache please). Alex is creepy and Sam is just kinda ehh. I think I've seen @Mercury post some nice mods on tumblr. What are some good ones and how do I install them (I just got my first PC, I'm used to macs).
