'what is this horseshit....... i can't believe they fucked up the order of the panels...... unbelievable' and re: nightbeat calling dead tailgate kid: that is just a thing that happens! ratchet occasionally calls drift 'kid' and drift is millions of years old. actually I think ratchet calls a lot of people 'kid' because ratchet is a crotchety old grandpa. ANYWAY the point is that it's less an indication of youth and more an indication of the sort of relationship the bots have, and tailgate is everyone's Small Marshmallow Friend, so. Spoiler: 32-33 My first time through the briefcase opening, one, I didn't even notice the numbers were wonky, and two, I didn't even properly realize that things were out of order. I was just like whoops didn't parse that I'm sure it makes sense MOVING ON. I'm really, really awful at reading for that kind of detail, my brain just glosses past anything that doesn't make sense. And re: mini-megs, under schandbringer.tumblr.com/tagged/megatronrung (very nsfw), there this one picture of Rung and Megatron with Megatron all tiny, and it's so cute. Plus even all small, he's still bulked out like whoa, and Rung is still super skinny, and Megatron looks so buff compared to him.
I had some amazon money left over from my birthday, so I bought Last Stand of the Wreckers, and I'm starting it now, because I feel like I need a small palate cleanser before I get into Dark Cybertron and all that. Spoiler So first of all, one of Amazon's suggested helpful reviews was a two-star bitching about how much tough characters die in this, so I'm already rubbing my hands in anticipation. I'm ready to embrace the pain, just Fuck Me Up, giant robot comic. (Also, reviewer friend, it is called Last Stand of the Wreckers, not The Wreckers' Overwhelming Triumphant Victory, I don't know what you expected.) So is it just me or is Overlord weirdly hot in this? I'm not sure I to it. Heyyyyyyy here's Verity! She is just as cute as advertised, and hella my type. 'Cyber-sexism' omfg. Also I really appreciate this comic introducing me to everyone. *bookmarks page so I can find it when I get who's who mixed up later* Also Overlord might as well have a giant sign over his head. Also Overlord is really waving that sign. I feel fortified enough to go onto Dark Cybertron now.
Spoiler: 32/33 It was probs poor chance i noticed that the numbers in the background were changing and that one part of the convo would make more sense before the first panel and then it clicked haha And I have been looking through that tag just now and i have to say that is an excellent rec even if i couldn't find the pic you talked about (unless I am an idiot and din't find it inbetween all the porn o/////o)
Spoiler: last stand of the wreckers I would also like to call your attention to the way Ratchet and First Aid each mentioned that they could have saved Ironfist, so presumably it wasn't that difficult a medical procedure. And Prowl's a smart cookie, he was probably aware of that. And he still sent Ironfist off with a subtle 'wink wink nudge nudge this might be a good opportunity to kill yourself' anyways. :3c Also I would like to suggest, for your consideration, Overlord and Trepan as the best worst boyfriends in the world :DDDD
Spoiler: mtmte 22 I am bad at liveblogging anything but sports, but this issue demanded it so hard, because there are a lot of moments that make me want to just clutch my face. First of all, REWIND holy shit. The structure of this issue is fucking fab. EVERYONE'S ANSWERS TO 'ARE YOU HAPPY' JUST FUCK ME UP *drags hand over face* oh my god chromedome's answer tho. And Cyclonus. And Tailgate. And Rung. ALL OF THEM. Good lord, Thunderclash's introduction makes me think he's a combination Chuck Norris/Regina George. OH MY FUCKING GOD RODIMUS *HATES* HIM THIS IS GREAT. 'you've heard of Tyrest? The Tyrest Accord?' Oh I almost forgot my favorite part, holy shit, 'Censored by the Duly Appointed Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord'. Okay, what is going on with Thunderclash. (Not the wound, psychologically.) What evil lies beneath the surface. I know something bad is coming this makes me so uneasy. FUCKING SWERVE AND RUNG OMFG. IT'S 'RONG' ON HIS ID CARD HOLY SHIT. Aww, that ending was sweet but I'm kind of confused. When exactly was this supposed to take place and how is it a Dark Cybertron prelude? I don't get it.
