The GEMA and youtube have been fighting for years and it's just kind of... a thing. I didn't actually know it went the other way too, normally whenever anyone has claims on a song (even with official uploads from the artists themselves like in the case of quite a few Woodkid songs) German people either use a Youtube Unblocker browser-add-on to get around the GEMA-block or hope and pray that there's still lyrics videos out there that haven't been fenced off yet lol
