Alright so, query: is maccadams/maccadam a tag for specific things or is it like, a general Tranformers/MTMTE fandom tag so that art gets shoved there and you don't have to dig in the main tag? I only just realized what it was referencing, so I'm wondering if this is a specific thing?
It's a general fandom tag! The main tag got overwhelmed by bayformers stuff, and then things only tangentially related to transformers at all, because I guess some blogs will post an actor and tag it with the blockbusters they were in? So people ended up shifting their transformers fandom away somewhere else, where the content would actually be relevant. Also, on a completely unrelated note, I forget the scale of these silly robot fuckers, but even Ravage is massive

Ahhh, guys Starscream has a tiny model of himself Why are all these giant robot soldiers so frigging adorable? (also it's nice and sad and upsetting that Starscream starts dying out of nowhere and his first thought is that it must be Megatron)
Starscream makes me wonder a lot about Cybertronian development and stuff. I know Tailgate was fully adult three weeks after he was forged, but I'm starting to wonder if forged just means 'when deemed ready to be a productive adult' or something because sometimes some of these giant robots act like I was expects people that were pulled into war way way way too young. But then there is being an 'adult' and being an adult and in a race that lives millions of years --- this is complicated gah. Pretty much I just wanted to comment on how many things I would associate with a teenager in the rooms we Starscream have in recent canon (like the holiday special) without saying he's a kid.
..........you know, I never noticed that in the holiday special. I'm totally incorporating this into my Wheeljack<>Starscream fic. That'll be good, it'll give me some time to sober him up between him trying to make his first pass at Wheeljack and Wheeljack actually being comfortable with how drunk he is and his ability to consent. Also an excuse to make Starscream to press his suit and wobble back and forth between I'm-going-to-hook-up-with-you-or-die-trying and fine whatever I never even liked you in the first place
In a way that's kind of an extension of the Decepticonism-as-communism parallel, or at least fits neatly into how a lot of communist movements became cults-of-personality, subject to the whims and flaws of said personality, and then promptly fell apart when said personality departed. I like it; Megatron is a strong leader, not necessarily a good one.
Spoiler: DC I think I can pin down Getaway's decision to mutiny to Dark Cybertron chapter 6, when Getaway laments to Skids about the Rodpod. He just sounds so broken. "It looks like his head, Skids." "I know, buddy. I know. You've just gotta learn to go with it."
i saw the synopsis for #55 and. my heart is in my throat, i'm so anxious, like intense anxious.... argghh this comic has the means and the potential to hurt me so badly, why did i have to get invested in this ongoing robot hell...... (⋈Q~Q)

Aghhh, I was so worked up over the MTMTE synopsis that I went and looked up other release dates in hopes of finding something to chill me out, BUT NO. I get to see Optimus Prime making all the worst decisions tomorrow, I guess (and based on the preview, I'm... worried), and issue 55 for that series also sounds alarming and epic. Plus Sins of the Wreckers 4 is maybe possibly coming out on the 27th (I don't know if I believe that, and the wiki doesn't mention it, but it's been forever since there was a new issue) and I get to see all of Prowl's bad decisions crashing down on him. And apparently the next Windblade trade is almost out, with more delicious, beautiful art, and I guess Rom, space knight is maybe showing up in Windblade's series too?? Everything happens so much, I wasn't prepared to deal with all of this everything.
When is 55 supposed to drop? (Also afaik, veiwcomic is missing a couple of the Spotlight issues. I can't seem to dig up the original run either, though that may be a failure of search terms on my part.)
Some of the spotlights are missing, as far as I can tell. The main parts of the original series staaaart as a bunch of sequential miniseries (infiltration, escalation, devastation, maximum dinobots, and all hail megatron are the big ones, I think), but it's kind of a nightmare trying to keep track of everything. I think at some point after AHM it switched to a regular running series format, but I'm not sure. But at that point ,it was like more than halfway through phase one, and a lot of later phase one wastes its home with really badly done dead universe nonsense. And there were still miniseries in the mix, like for bumblebee (hideous) and drift (might not be on viewcomic). It's all a pretty confusing mess :/
Yeah, Maximum Dinobots isn't on veiwcomic for certain. I gave up halfway through because I didn't care enough to like, actually go hunting for all the comics I wanted to look at. If humble bundle drops them for cheapsies I might buy them, but otherwise I'm just... not invested enough beyond The Terrible Son.
