i have found my home. i have found my people.

my first ship was drarry, but my second and favorite Trash Pairing was definitely snarry. i have such a Thing for teacher/student dynamics and We Have To Get Married For Stupid Reasons is my favorite trope and snarry fic is absolutely lousy with that plot, and i will read it and enjoy it literally every time. also once my friend pointed out to me that little lion man is a perfect snarry song several years ago and it fucks me up to this day.

homestuck was the best place for trash ships, i am so into all of them. give me all the dave/rose vriska/kanaya dad/dave bro/john fucked up dynamics. homestuck authors do it best, i'm so sad i'm not in the fandom anymore. (sometimes i still read au fics just because no other fandom has gross shipping on lock like homestuck)

AND MALACHITE, oh god, it's so good. i have this weird thing where i can't read steven universe fic (something about it being a cartoon makes reading it not work in my brain) but all of the fanart is so good. they are terrible for each other and i love it.

also i'm gonna casually mention fenders. the potential for abuse on both sides is truly delightful.

@Choco Yesssss, +a million to Moriarty and her blatant embarrassing no-good-very-bad unrequited hatecrush on Joan <3333 I just want all the reasons for them to end up stuck together in one situation or another, and be an awkward and unpleasant but also uncomfortably UST-packed mess with each other.

 

I was really sad when Puck's blog got removed for bullshit reasons. Not just for poor Puck, but (selfishly) because the attached Dad/John/Dave/Dirk blog had so much good fic and art and aus on it. Really awful trash ot4 that stole my souuul.

 

I should mention that I initially read this as "Snake Harry". Which reminded me that, yes, there is a fanfic about that.

Hitori/Kazuaki, AKA Quail Boyfriends

from Hatoful Boyfriend would be incredibly messed-up in all but a few timelines (as in, ends-in-murder messed-up), which doesn't keep a huge chunk of the fandom (and even the creators of the game) from shipping it, but people still get mad about it (which also led to one of the characters being seen as irredeemably evil and the other as a beautiful cinnamon roll who can do nothing wrong ever).

 

It's the HP fandom. There's probably more than a fanfic about... most things. And given the role of snakes in the series, that one's less far-fetched than it could be. :::PPP

 

Not a ship I have but Sans/Frisk gets a lot of paedo accusations, which baffled me because I thought Sans was a child too - he's as short as Frisk and a similar body shape. Of course Tumblr accuses child/child shipping of being paedophilia as well.

Hey, HP fandom has a Hogwarts Building/Giant Squid fic and a Snape/Teletubbies fic somewhere. Snake/Harry wouldn't be odd at all.

I still like Gam<>Kar and that's part of why I was so pissed off at Gamzee's arc not getting decent closure.

Possible fic author logic: he's a Parseltongue -> Parseltongues can talk to snakes -> WHAT IF THEY HAVE OTHER SNAKE-RELATED POWERS. Or he becomes a snake Animagus. All in all, not as crazy as some of the other stuff HP fic has produced, honestly.

Redwall fandom is mostly pretty tame but I've seen a few people in it ship a thirteen-year-old murderer with his adoptive mother. (Well, he's either thirteenish or seventeenish, it's not very clear - the characters age in seasons rather than years.)

(I'm in the process of playing and I can't say I ship it, but damn would it be an amazingly ill-advised, dysfunctional attempt at blackrom. Absolutely no one involved would be happy with this state of affairs, and it would be great. ... So yes, yes, I definitely see your point.)
