this is completely unrelated but i have an oc for a self indulgent thingy I'm doing who's the daughter of a harvest goddess and a god who's kinda a trickster god but is technically a god of chaos, he's kinda hard to pin down

so she draws more on her chaos and darkish parental side because her mama went way overboard with the 'my baby has gotta be strong and good at politics since godlitics are insane and she's gotta be in charge of her emotions etc' so now the wee babs is a mess and her morail is doing his best but at some point they gotta get that poor cild to a therapist before it ruins their morailship ANYWAY

for some reason I'm imagining rachel showing up on their date and oracling at them.
(there are no good solutions to that, sadly. you should be a journalist, it's almost the same thing sometimes)

 

Umm let's see Dina facts

She is a daughter of Adrestia, as mentioned previously, and got raised mostly by her dad in some large city (idk which one, I have lived in rural towns all my life but that doesn't fit with her so)
She does not have many overt supernatural powers cause minor goddess mom, she is just a better-than-human good tracker and fighter and that is mostly it
She has a polearm that looks like a modified scythe, which was something that a friend in Hephaestus Cabin made for her I think, it doubles as a working flashlight.
Will fight anyone if she sees them being a dick, up to and including counselor-types (it is a miracle she has not tried to fight Dionysus, luckily she is not entirely suicidal), and probably is on quite a few people's shit lists. Without knowing her parentage people generally pegged her as a daughter of Ares.
Has probably gone on a few minor quests, retrieving stuff.
She is trying not to be bitter over the fact that her mom only acknowledged her when she was required to do so.
She is also happy that she basically gets to decorate her cabin however she wants, though (and incidentally i have no idea what this is. Hrm.)

If they ever ran into Persephone/Proserpina and she got on Adara's case Poppy would step in with 'Eldest sister! Please forgive my friend!' and go from there.

Even though I imagine it can be sort of risky to claim that sort of relationship with a goddess you've never met, it's diplomatic and Poppy figures if Persephone/Proserpina is insulted, well, at least she's not insulted at Adara anymore.

 

...and now I am considering Dina calling Ares or Aphrodite 'Grampa' or 'Granny.'

Adrestia is the daughter of Ares and Aphrodite, her siblings include Harmonia, Phobos, Deimos, Ares, and Anteros.

 

Basically Ares and Aphrodite are a major couple in mythological canon, much more so than Aphrodite and Hephaestus who, in her defense, she was literally forced to marry.
