Spoiler: 52 predictions about the DJD! because I feel like Kaon dying could shake them up to the point that they all fall apart. clearly Nickel's not okay with it, but she's not really in a position to defect like one of the others. are they going to get a new Kaon, like they got a new Vos? is it at all possible to fix him(compare to Red Alert, but also that poor fuck Fort Max beheaded)? plus he also broke their rules by allowing Overlord to live, so they have more reason to overthrow Tarn is someone going to go back for the Pet, or have the Autobots accidentally adopted it?

I also love the point that not all the flowers are autobots, a significant amount are decepticons who died on his orders or following his cause. And like, that Tarn can't back down or change because that means admitting he's wasted his life? And like, finally the stuff about fool's energon is coming back around. Although I am hoping it's more like a mood stablizer than something actively changing his personality. 'I thought you'd hate me! So I didn't let you know that we don't hate you. Er. In retrospect...' Tarn vs Overlord! Fight fight fight! Please to be killing each other! ...what if Tarn is Dominus Ambus? No, that's dumb. They don't even look alike. It's just Megatron's talk about corrupting him, about 'if I could recruit you', and the mask, and if Minimus is a load-bearer and they're spark-brothers, maybe... Spoiler: 52 Haven't we also seen Mimimus' moustache get punched off or something at one point? And the entire 'Dominus is Tarn' theory hinges on Dominus being a loadbearer that can be extensively and perminantly altered, anyway.
While everyone is having serious theory talk I'm just sitting here like Spoiler: 52 also a lot of nonsense fun If Overlord is here... maybe Rewind I is too. And if the Rewind's meet there is an above 50% chance they'd somehow end up planning to go "okay one of us stays with Domey and one of us goes to search for Dominus. It's perfect!" and then they start fighting over which one of them gets to stay with Domey. And Then Domey has to seperate them :3c Alternatively: They manage to settle the "who stays who leaves" thing without intervention and one of the Rewinds leaves on his quest to find Dominus. The Rewind who stays behind learns that Tarn is Dominus. Conflict is had over whether he should tell other!Rewind or whether he shouldn't and let him have hope.
Spoiler: 52 All I'm imagining is that homestuck scene where the battlebot punches off Jake's eyes. But with Megatron and Dominus. Anyway Dominus is established as an idealist, a revolutionary, an equalist, and an artist. All things that could have left him vulnerable to joining the decepticons! Add in 4 million years and who knows what happening to him, and...
Spoiler: 52 Aaaah everyone has such great thinky thoughts! I'm actually really curious to find out if more is going on with Tarn than just the Megatron thing - as other people have noted and as I've seen on tumblr, one of the biggest reasons the DJD and Deathsaurus agreed to join up was because Tarn refused to kill his squad, and from what we've seen before he does seem to care about them. In the hands of a different writer I'd just chalk this up to plot handwavey lazy writing, but given that rarely has a detail been insignificant in this run before, I'm inclined to think they're building up to something. Decepticon infighting would be convenient for the LL crew, but I'm not sure if it would go with one of the overarching themes of MTMTE - war is hell and everyone can screw up but also everyone who participated is a person with feelings and motivations who thought they were absolutely in the right. There is no black and white in a four million year war. And having Tarn, who has had his share of humanizing moments (for lack of a better word), go back to sort of a cardboard cutout 'does not care about his subordinates no one can disobey or disrespect me' villain stereotype without a huge motivation we have yet to see seems out of character for the comic as a whole. The whole bit where Megatron talks about how he corrupted Tarn - I'm willing to bet there's a lot more depth to that, given the comic's tendency to go hard on the trauma.
Spoiler: 52 The fact that we've had... three? Characters who've had their heads ROYALLY FUCKED UP without killing them makes me feel like Kaon losing his head is hopefully a non-issue. Although, poor Kaon, but like, haha turnabout is fair play that's what you get for killing Trailcutter. Fucker. BUT NO, like I was saying, Kaon's weird Not Eyes and the fact that we've run into people before with their brains Not In Their Heads makes me HOPE that he's not dead. Fingers crossed that was a moment to try and drive home a point to Overlord, hopefully with the intent to manipulate him-- but it could very easily be just Tarn losing his temper and ROYALLY FUCKING UP. Because not only would he lose the DJD, he'd lose Deathasaurus too. I mean, refusing to sacrifice them was a Big Deal! What the fuck Tarn.
Spoiler: 52 Yeah I was going to say, this is a big No for Deathasaurus, which I respect, so I think if this is a respect-gaining ploy by angry Tarn, he just fucked up bad.
Spoiler: Sins of the Wreckers 4 I am really unsure how to feel about issue 4. The revelations seem to, I don't know, cheapen the events in question. Also Verity Carlo dying and then suddenly not dying. Also Arcee being ashamed of her bloodlust is a real letdown.
Going back through MTMTE looking for specific panels to desecrate play with, and-- crack theory time. I realize there are only so many possible configurations of letters, but... "Kinsere" looks a lot like "Censere" to me, and depending on how each is supposed to be pronounced they probably sound pretty similar too. Just how old is the Necrobot, and... was this place named after him (before he took the Necrobot title), or did he take its name? Either way, what happened there? I am curious. And very tempted to write random unsupported fic. I don't even care that much about Censere except that he makes an interesting reaper/psychopomp figure, why this
