Oh, hey. I don't know if we'll ever get Devisen characters developed enough to make this worthwhile, but it occurs to me that their society seems like it's just asking for Sedoretu-style marriages to be a thing. Being born in pairs sets up duos of not-quite-couples to be a thing right away, then just insert some worldbuilding handwave for why some duos are morning bots and some duos are evening bots, and you can get cool poly marriages where it isn't just everyone dating everyone else, but you still get a really interesting, intimate dynamic between the morning pair and the evening pair.

Ahhh, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!! I have such a fun time running through ideas like that, but it's so much faster to write down ideas than it is to write fics, so now I want to write all the things and there isn't enough time for me to make everything I want to make. I probably will write a nice Starscream fic soon as long as I don't get distracted first. So yes!! Cloning!!! I am EXTREMELY down with this idea. That honestly sounds like the best idea, and I would unironically be on board with it if it was an option. @whimsicalobservant I dunno how many spoilers you want, but wrt Spoiler: Cyclonus backstory We get little bits and pieces of this even in the beginning-- no one trusts Cyclonus because he massacred nearly everyone on Kimia station while under Galvatron's control. Long story short, Cyclonus is hella old, and got involved with a nasty piece of work named Galvatron, who's been alive since the time of the Thirteen Primes and killed one of the Thirteen himself. Even though the Thirteen could supposedly only be killed by other Primes. Galvatron did some handwavium technomagic and mind-controlled/manipulated Cyclonus into doing... a lot of messy, bloody work for him during the second civil war (Autobots vs Decepticons). It's unclear whether Cyclonus himself was alive during the time of the Thirteen, but Galvatron is... very much of the mind that death just fucking happens, deal with it. Cyclonus has seen a lot of death, including the deaths of... quite a few Primes. Considering his later advice to someone else ("never hope, hope is a lie that can only hurt you"), living with the phrase "anyone can die" is... probably something he's kept in mind for all the long, long time he spent in Galvatron's service. especially if you want to play with the fact that absorbing an abuser's mindset can be a useful survival tactic but that is going into theoryland instead of canon

i can't believe that i just powered through 260k words of G1 jazz/soundwave slavery fic. i cannot believe that i remained fully engaged and interested throughout and at no point felt that i was compromising my fanfic quality standards. for 260k words. of slavery fic. is this. is this the kind of person that i am now..... the kind of person who reads novel-length stories about sexy robot slavery..... no but really it was. surprisingly good? and also catered to my specific interests shockingly well. and i still have barely even met these characters in canon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
