Adara rolled her eyes. "Yeah, you two have fun with that. I'll be over at the archery field, failing miserably, if you need me." She looked over at Lark. "You can come if you want but I understand if you're busy with other stuff." With that said, she trotted off to the archery field.
Jack pulled Auden along towards the cabins, digging the key to the Thanatos cabin out of their pocket. "So, um..."
"Well, it's always more fun to do things illegally but technically Adara never gave me this key, I just took it when she was having a bad day so I could give her food without her having to leave the cabin. I wonder if she even knows I still have it. Well, she has one of mine, so we're even. Plus the stupid windows take forever to open."
Jack unlocked the door and entered, heading towards the closet. They opened the door and stared. "Wow, she really wasn't kidding."
Auden whistled in mild awe. "That- that really is a lot of jackets. Are all these yours?" he asked Jack, looking at them curiously.
"Most of them, and only for a really loose definition of 'mine'. Adara cut wing holes in all of them. I just don't want to buy more." Jack started gathering up all the jackets that looked familiar.
Auden picked up some in his arms, and said, "So we're just bringing these back to your cabin then?" he asked. "What's it like, having one to yourself?" There were fewer Hephaestus kids then some of the others *cough* Apollo *cough* but he still had always slept in the same room as other kids his age since he'd come to Camp, and it was weird to imagine being the only kid of a God.
"Well, I have a sister. So it's not all to myself, but it's really close. It's nice. I have space to think. Adara's the one that's really alone, though, so you'd have to ask her. What's it like having so many siblings?"
"Honestly, it can be annoying sometimes? But most of them are really, really chill about the whole 'can't really smith properly' thing, and let me help out around the forge, heating the fires and keeping the bellows running, that sort of thing. Did you know that they use a weirdly old technique here? I guess it's the Greek thing but still, even in reconstructionist blacksmithing there have been improvements in efficiency. Anyway, most of my siblings are okay- and it's weird, because I know I had more, once, but we lost a lot in the Battle of New York. Idk."
"Yeah." Jack didn't say anything for a minute. "I think this is all the jackets. Let's put them in my cabin and go do something."
"I'm not nearly as bad at it as Adara is." Jack locked the cabin door behind them and started walking towards their own cabin. "You?"
"Join the club," Jack said. "Is anyone good at archery? Anyway, I was wondering if we could watch your show afterwards? And also this is my cabin." They gestured at the door and then unlocked it.
"Yes!" Auden said, and then decided maybe he sounded a bit too excited. "Would you like to do that now? IDK."
"Oh! Yes, that would be great. Hold on, I just have to put these somewhere..." Jack looked around the room, then piled the jackets onto a chair. "Okay, should we watch it here, or in your cabin?"
