"Here, if you don't mind? I think some of my siblings are there right now, and idk. This is a date right?" Auden asked, grinning kind of shyly.
Adara went and fetched a camp bow and some arrows. She hadn't bothered getting a bow of her own, because what was the point when she'd never use it and was so bad at it? Sighing, she went to a point several feet away from the target and nocked an arrow, took aim, and let it go. She managed to hit herself in the arm with the bowstring, but the blow was softened by her hoodie. Still, she winced. The arrow landed a few inches away from the target, embedded point-first in the dirt. Adara groaned and flopped on the ground, wings spread out to either side behind her so that she wouldn't be laying on top of bunched up wings. "I. Hate. Archery."
"I didn't hit anything. Except the dirt. Which is kind of not that great. Sure, I didn't kill anyone, but..."
"It totally is though." Adara leaned her head back and started cloud-watching. "How good are you at archery?"
"I'm sure you can improve with time and practice," Adara replied, tilting her head back again to look at the clouds and yawning.
Adara sighed happily and then, on impulse, leaned up and kissed Larkspur's cheek. She was a little nervous about it, and way too nervous to try for a real kiss, so a cheek kiss was going to have to do. Initiating things was hard, she decided.
Larkspur blushed all over. ahhh she kissed me aaaahhhhhhhhh So, Larkspur leaned over, and, blushing still, kissed Adara lightly on the mouth. And then panicked, hiding her face in Adara's side.
Adara blushed bright pink and didn't know what to say for a minute, then grinned and giggled. "That was wonderful. And you're adorable," she said, her cheeks still pink but a smile on her face.
