Camp Half-Blood

"yes, headpets. please continue."

 

Adara giggled. "As you wish," she said, continuing to offer headpets.

 

Larkspur hummed happily.

 

Adara smiled. "....I wonder what Jack and Auden are up to," she wondered absentmindedly.

 

"being cute, probably."

 

"And being huge dorks."

 

"oh, of course."

 

Adara giggled and then yawned. "...if we stay here I think I'm gonna fall asleep. Wanna go for a walk?"

 

"Yeah, true. I'd love a walk."
Larkspur stood up and brushed herself off.

 

Adara hopped to her feet and brushed the grass off herself and her wings, taking a moment to pluck a stray feather from one of them before tucking her wings behind her back and heading off in the direction of the forest. "You don't mind if we go to the forest, do you? I...spend a lot of time there."

 

"Sure, I like the forest."

 

"Sweet." Adara dropped the stray feather she'd plucked and then walked a bit more quickly towards the forest. She really did enjoy it--it was away from prying people and those who didn't like her and just about everything else she wanted to avoid, and it was quiet and shaded and just overall nice.

 

Larkspur walked a little bit behind Adara. The forest was nice, and she loved the variety of plants in it. The dryads were always interesting to talk to, if you were the sort of person who liked talking primarily about flora.

 

Adara was silent, unsure of what to say. She didn't really know much about the forest itself, and generally avoided the dryads--she didn't go to the forest to chat, she went to be alone or to hang out with Jack. Going there with someone else would be a first, she realized.

 

Larkspur wasn't sure what to say, so she sped up a little bit to try and put her arm around Adara's waist.

 

Adara noticed this and slowed down a bit so Larkspur would catch up faster. She hadn't realized quite how fast she'd been walking.

 

Larkspur wrapped an arm around Adara's waist.

 

Adara blushed slightly and smiled. "So...I'm guessing you've been in the woods before, 'cause most kids who haven't freak out a little about the woods. Probably because they think it looks kinda dark and creepy, never mind that Chiron would never let anything bad in the camp."

 

"Yeah, I go for walks here sometimes. I think the woods are pretty."
She blushed. Wow, this was cute. They were taking a romantic walk in the woods. That was adorable.

 

"Me too," Adara said cheerfully. "I love the woods, they're so....quiet and pretty. Plus, sometimes you can see cute little bunnies and stuff." She hummed happily. This was the best. Taking a walk with Larkspur was definitely the best.
