genuine question: how long does it take for you to do your makeup every day, and how often do you make it super fancy?

 

@IvyLB SECONDED *-* your eye makeup in the last set of pictures is incredible :O

 

this is literally all the times I was outside last week so... I pretty much wear fancy/artsy makeup everytime I leave the house? :P My idea of fancy is when I forego HD vision and wear false lashes instead of glasses, and glue gemstones to my face lol

Time... Obviously It kind of depends on how much i'm doing, but generally I estimate about an hour? The Minimalist look I did in under ten minutes, but that's an outlier i didn't even draw on better brows than I have, like look at that shit you can see sparse spots ughhhhhhHHHH
foundation is like ten minutes, eyebrows proooooobably ten minutes, then I do eyes which takes between ten and twenty depending on if I have a plan and how much I'm doing (if I do only eyeliner obviously I need like two minutes, but with several colors and blending and then eyeliner and then face markings that's closer to twenty). Then ten for lips and ten for highlighter/contouring/blush (usually just highlighter lol)

The last look is literally... two eyeshadows and two different eyeliner colors! I'm wearing a mint shadow below the crease, on the outer third of the lower eyelid and on the inner third of the upper eyelid above the crease and then a black eyeshadow layered over the mint on the mobile lid below the crease, sort of haphazardly finger blended out into a vague cat eyeshape
the rest is spring green eyeliner, black kohl on the waterline (and inner lashline), green mascara with a black sparkle over coat layered on the tips, then gold tinged highlighter I blend pretty high up on the cheekbones (and on the inner corner there is also a little highlighter!) and a whole lotta haphazard dots of black eyeliner over the mint green eyeshadow in inner and outer corners!

most of this is toned down looks sort of inspired by what Color Creep on youtube does
