I mean, if you think about it, it really explains why even benevolent Transformers tend to treat humans like twee little darlings. We're not really a size that inspires them to take us seriously until they get to actually... know some humans. Please someone write (IDW) Optimus Prime meeting Samuel Vimes. I think Vimes would really kind of despise good ol' Op. Yeah, Megatron is a git, but Optimus was upholding a corrupt regime and actively working against attempts to destabilize it despite knowing it was doing Wrong Things. ACTUALLY, scrub that. Vimes wouldn't like either Optimus or Megatron. But he'd respect Megatron more for working to get his demons under control.

Spoiler: TGWP Somewhere, I really, really want Ratchet to be alive and laughing his head off. This story delights me because I can't predict where it'll go next, and the backstory (and its deliberate gaps) are so neatly crafted, ahhh. Regardless of how little I know about the cartoon+movie, I really want to see Megatron get fuckin' wrecked by a bunch of supposedly [deactivated] Autobots crawling out of the woodwork. I'll still be good if it turns out the old guard really is pretty darn dead (OP at least is toast) but whenever I see a list of characters who died apparently before the story got started, their bodies burned almost beyond recognition in the most convenient fashion, my mind assumes it's a fakeout of massive proportions. Particularly with a writer as good as this one Or maybe I just really, really want them to not...be dead /lays down in agony In other news, I had to sign into my ff account for the first time in years to follow this story for updates. Dark times, indeed

Spoiler: tgwp Ahhh, there it is. After Jazz's incident with Megatron, Soundwave has Hook run a check on the various inhibiting slave-things that are supposed to keep him in check. One of those that gets specifically mentioned is his 'targeting subroutines.' But then during the Insecticon fight, he gets his hands on a gun and shoots a bunch of the drones off Soundwave's back. I know that Soundwave hasn't had a chance yet to untangle what the fuck is going on, but I'm really excited for him to dig into what the fuck is going on

Annnnnnnd delayed gratification is over, now I'm home and can upload my picture! Spoiler: roboblood, size, etc I'm actually really pleasantly surprised by how happy I am with this. I've been drawing my faves suffering as stress relief way longer than I've been writing them suffering... but I know I'm better at the writing, and robots mean an exponential increase in drawing difficulty. So I'm really pleased I was able to pull this off, even with an accidental/involuntary weeklong break in the middle of the drawing process.
