God, I know, right? I really need to go back and mainline the entire series again, then probably follow it up with TFA for good measure. Now that I'm completely comfortable with how hot giant robots totally are, I need to experience it like that from the start. I think once I finish the current cross-stitch project and start the next one, that's probably the best timing. But! I have an opinion question for people! About my next project. Spoiler: why are images so frigging huge Okay, so I have the materials to do this Starscream. Like... 8x14? I think? And 75 colors (how did they get 75 colors out of this? ). So it's going to happen at some point (with the text partially cropped, partially edited out) But do I do that first? Or do I do sweet, darling, precious Ironfist? This one, okay. I have a pattern for 8x10, 75 colors. BUT. Instead of cross-stitching a sea of red (dmc color depth means that the streaky bits would be like... two or three colors total, so it would be a boring nightmare), do the thing like with Whirl and the protoform, where I take a patterned red fabric, and waste canvas, and cross-stitch Ironfist right onto that. It'll be a really cool effect if I do it right. I'm just tornnnn, because if I start perseverating on this again, I can blast through one of these projects in two, three weeks-- but that means I don't have time to do much art or writing. And I want to do art and writing. And I really really really want to do Superion and Metroplex too, and those are both going to be very, very large, and INCREDIBLY involved, and there's only so much time in my life and I am frustrated by the constraints of time and mortality and asdfasdfasdfdfs why can't I do everything I want to do. SO, um. My point. Do you think I should do Starscream first, or Ironfist first? My darling weapons engineer cinnamon roll, or my darling, abrasive, manipulative asshole? Oh my god, I fucking LOVE Deathsaurus. He's the BEST. I'm weak against cool character designs >_> but he's got the ULTIMATE name and also you should check out his alt mode. I really, really, REALLY hope we'll get to see Milne draw his alt mode. OH! And also also you should totally check out Enfilade's Tarn/Deathsaurus writing on AO3. The power dynamics are DELICIOUS and also that series is what got me started on my robot piercing kick (I'm still not over that, just taking a short breather), and I just love Deathsaurus to pieces
