Things that are currently annoying you

Not being able to give the advice you really want to give, because a) you're biased from your own poor experience and b) it might end up more traumatic than helpful but OH MY LORD WOULD YOU JUST REALIZE THAT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE A CHOICE YOU LIKE. DEAL WITH IT. you have no IDEA how much help you are getting. You have NO idea how much leeway you're being given. At some point you're just going to have to suck. it. up.

 

Older Bro left a cup of rocks on my desk because I like rocks, but it is in the place where I normally stash drink or snackage on my desk. Some part of my brain keeps going "cup=liquid" and I keep trying to drink the rocks.

Obvious solution is "move the cup" but. Where go. Brain is screeching. Exdys why.

Update: Now have a cup with actual drink right in front of me and still tried to drink rocks. [screaming]

 

I got a couple new bras a couple days ago and this one has a bunch of little scratchy spots and I'm hoping like hell they go away with wear because I had to put a piece of cloth under part of the band and there's still several more spots like that.

 

Customers yelling about politics when I am required to ask for donations to [military organization] regardless of my own feelings on the matter :|

The other day one of my roommates was complaining about cashiers asking people if they'd like to round up their total after they said they didn't want to make a donation because, "That's so rude when they've already said no!" and I was a bit, "You know, the cashier does not actually have a choice about that."

 

Yeaaah. I. I will gladly take "no" as an answer, current minimum donation is $1, but like. I did not sign up for ten-minute rant about how "Trump is going to turn this country around" that holds up my line. [screaming]

And... wow, yeah, what even. That-- I don't think I want to read the rest of that page if it's anything like your quote there. The trans character in question is great! And. Most of what I would scream about would be spoilery things, but I'm 90% she wasn't just meant to "shut up his whiny readers" :|

I mean, the one thing I can complain about is the maybe-kinda-meh art, but I'm objectively terrible at that, so :/

 

Yet another breakdown of a fandom with equal-to-higher female to male characters pointing out the prevalence of m/m versus f/f. Yet another breakdown which completely ignores that f/m is rapidly outpacing both of them three times over.

I mean, I get that you're frustrated, I am too, but I really hate when these things hyperfocus on the Bad Gay Men and completely ignore all the het works that also run roughshod over the potential for f/f. (I have run into f/f in the background of around ~60% of the m/m I've read, but less than 20% of the f/m. I think that's something worth talking about.)

edit: HAHA WHOOP WHOOP AND THE STATS WERE OUTDATED, THE F/F AND M/M RATIO IN THERE IS NEARLY 1:1 NOW WITH F/M CLOSE TO FIVE TIMES AS MANY AS EITHER OF THEM.

This shouldn't piss me off so bad but it does, every fucking time.
