A little boy came through my line at work wearing a Transformers shirt, and was so happy to have someone to chatter about robots with :D
my dad passed a test that was a requirement for a job he's been considering! in fact he's basically been told he can start as soon as he passes. anyway my dad is a hard worker and good at what he does but tests wig him out and he often fails when tested on things he can do perfectly well, so he's been stressing about it a lot, especially since he failed the first time he took it. and he did it. yay!
As a combination birthday/"congraturation u survived busy season & made hella bank" present to myself I ordered an Ugee tablet. I just checked UPS. My tablet is in Texas. It will be here tomorrow. Tomorrow is my birthday. Yes. Hell yes. Hell fucking yes.

my doctor is the best ever :) i ran out of some of my meds a few days ago and i've been spinning my wheels trying to get up the spoons to call and book and appointment and get my scripts renewed, but i couldn't do it. today i emailed her out of desperation and she emailed me back within an hour and has faxed the renewals to the pharmacy :') she's so great
It's been raining since this afternoon, and there's an absolutely beautiful cool breeze flowing through my window, and I'm not boiling in my skin and I love it.
What made me happy today... is the way the stepladder/bedsheet rig in place of an actual curtain just feels... right. It's not optimal, it's a solution made with what I had at hand, and it hits my aesthetic hard, this wooden, old, worn, rounded, soft step ladder with a clothesline strung between it and the kitchen door, from which a slightly messed-up bedsheet hangs (... there was a super glue accident). On the steps, kitchen towls, scissors, knitting needles, a spool of yarn, a headband i modified with fake flowers and ribbon and butterflies. from the yarn cord between the two legs of the ladder hangs a flower pot. It's no "perfect solution" from the shelf, it hangs low when I open the kitchen door and I need to move the bedsheet curtain away when I want to get at my fabric, my clothes hampers, and my trash bin, but... it makes me happy.
!!! I have less work to do in order to successfully finals, and I might only have like 5ish minutes of extreme anxiety shame in the whole thing!!!!
One of my roommates is popular in certain circles of Twitter, and the Twitter people know that we live near a Dominos. Somehow this gives them the power to prank order us pizzas??? Today's surprise pizza was chicken alfredo, and it is very tasty. Sometimes it's stuff like "pepperoni and pineapple and alfredo", though, which is more... "What awful things can the internet convince roomie to eat and tweet about."
There's a tablet on Amazon that's less then $50 and i might be getting a laptop for my birthday, so there's a good chance that July might be full of experimenting with color and pretty lines in my draws! and backgrounds!! Layers! I'm excited! I'm doing some layouts and junk for a comic, and wow it'd be so cool to do it digital.
Sparrows taking dust baths in the parking lot Wendys fries and burgers taste better than I remember, and the small frost is only $1 I've made a place in this community so I have friends who worry for me and wish me well.
