ok correct me if i'm wrong (i'm new to this fandom and just marathoned mtmte) Spoiler: mtmte 53 when the DJD slaughtered the quantum-split Lost Light and hauled Rewind around as snuff camera the DJD. including Kaon's Pet. the pet that is Dominus Ambus. Pet Dominus watched Rewind getting traumatized. what exactly does domestication do to Pet Dominus' ability to understand what's happening there? (i figured the attention deflectors in the Ultra Magnus armor kept the DJD from finding Rewind, but. the Pet. aka Dominus. is their tracker, right?)
Spoiler: 53 It's unclear! The panels we do get of the pet don't do much to suggest much above dog-level intelligence, but dogs do have the ability to remember people for a long time, and the distance from I-love-this-person to I-will-protect-this-person isn't that huge! Protecting Rewind by not leading the DJD to him is a bit above what you'd expect from a dog, but totally within the bounds of what I'd believe from domestication. In general, I like this idea a LOT, and I am adopting this headcanon immediately :3
