Aaaah this is great -happy dance- No one comes for the cookies running gag y/n? (Kite would love to come steal some, but help desk duty and whatnot)
Do not eat the robots. DO NOT EAT THE ROBOTS (mice are not allowed to eat chocolate chip cookies, but they may sneak in and do so anyways. and maybe bring some back for Em. aren't they brilliant?) @Kaylotta That was freaking amazing, I love it.
crying with laughter that exhibit is SO a thing I'd do! Great Great Great work! @Kaylotta your voice sounds very cool :D also that weather performance was super beautiful! I may in fact at some point today figure out the exact design for ivy and draw it too
thank you all so much!!! :3 i am so glad y'all like it. @jacktrash: you will be interested in THIS: Incursion on the Eastern Perimeter (Also, Chocolate Chip Cookies) in mp3 format @IvyLB - thank you for your kind words about the weather! it is from my final recital of my bachelor's degree. also no one ever comes for the cookies. T_T
Here's my question: is there enough stuff that there can eventually be multiple episodes? (a. if there isn't, that's cool b. if you are too stressed with deadlines & etc that is also cool c. if you need help with things I am sure we can figure out how to make life easier with this d. this is really really really awesome as 1. stand-alone episode or 2. part of multiple) This is just so coooooool. I was listening to this before going to sleep last night and I could not stop smiling the whole way through. It sounds like an incredible amount of work and I am astounded at how good it ended up being.
you feel warm and fuzzy, @KathyGaele? I feel super warm and fuzzy too! :3 ~all the warm fuzzies~ @boyacrossthestreet - I've definitely got enough for another one, and y'all just keep adding to my list of notes. It is a significant amount of work (write & edit script, record lines, record any other necessary noises, compose bg music, pick a weather, put it all together), but I do enjoy it, so I think I'll do at least one more. I suspect each one will take two to three weeks to put together. I mean, there's only maybe three or four days of solid work involved, but I gotta let the script sit before I edit it, and I want to practice it a couple times, and it's always good to have more time than less. I don't have any big deadlines at the moment, so I'll consider it a summer project! :D stuff might change when I head to grad school in the fall, tho; we'll see. (if there's any more material by then anyway.) y'all are already super helpful in dogpiling me with possible story ideas and fun little notes (and just plain material: anyone want to go through and find all the times I put forum posts nearly word for word in the script? :P), but i will for sure ask for a hand if I need it. :) you guys are super awesome. oh! and if anyone has audio sensory issues of some sort, please just say and I'll put the script up. I wouldn't want to put it up ahead of time (don't wanna spoil the surprises!) but I don't want anyone to miss out if they are interested. Edit: oh! a big thing. I used my own material for the first weather because I wanted to show off ^_^;; but if anyone else composes, or sings, or knows someone, or w/e, send links/messages my way!
@Kaylotta Aaah that was holy radballs amazing! Listening to it was the best thing to happen all day. I was laughing and clapping along the whole way through. (I think my cats liked it too. Normally they leave the room when my computer starts making noises, but the second one actually came into my room to see what I was so happy about.)
I do hear that grad school is tough (see also, why I don't wanna go & why I am in the nonprofit field). This is super great news :D (And now I am going to organize my books while re-listening :D)
Well... I sing! I had formal vocal training in the musical sector for a while but that's been a while lol. Also I kinda sorta voice act or should pick it up again rather. I can do a few different female sounding voices and can usually hit voices from alpha bitch over cackling madwoman to small cutesy child well enough. Masculine voices and shouty ones I can do too but they are harder for me. I am stuck in the bathroom with hair stuff rn or I'd get to drawing more I should draw more. @wes scripserat just out of curiousity is your kintsugi!persona tall? I need someone tall to draw for size comparison with kintsugi!Ivy :P
I kind of sing! Give me a tune and an hour or so and I'll hack something out. And my preferred method of reading books is to read them out loud while doing the voices, so, I would definitely submit some voices. (I much prefer doing mid-to-low ranges. And Shouty Echoey voices are very fun.)
I need to draw my kintsugisona. Man, though, I haven't drawn dinosaurs since I was... what, thirteen? fourteen? Time to completely relearn me how to draw a thing. I will probably also draw kintsugisonas for other people also if anybody wanna tell me to do that.
Just heard the episode and Eeeeeeeeh!!!! This makes me so happy!! Also @Kaylotta you do a really good job of following the sturcture and speech patterns of the real NV. More material: "Cody would like the mice who live in the library to know that even though they are feline, they will not eat them. They know the mice do not harm books and they feel just awful about scaring them so much." Also I think I will try and draw a robot cat.
@Kaylotta THAT MADE ME SO HAPPY I WAS SO HAPPY TO HAVE A CAMEO SO HAPPY -cough- (also since I can travel through mirrors, and that includes sending through only like an arm or something, if there's a reflective surface near your cookies at least some of the mysteriously disappearing ones despite nobody coming are me. Just. Reaching an arm through. While you aren't looking. Cough.) Also I can't voice-act per se but if you need a british accent at any point. -waves hand- I mean the only recording equipment I have is the built-in one that comes with Windows but. Y'know, if I can help, at all (not just when it comes to voices), I would love to. Also as has been said you really do mimic the WTNV speech patterns and stuff really really fucking well!
I can do an okay sorta a generic english accent, and a cutesy valley girl type voice. Not really what else, but if given instructions I could probably pull something off. Also, I sing. @littlemissCodeless The escaped lab mice who live in the library have passed a message. Em says that the mice appreciate it, and will no longer run in fear when Cody is nearby. Also, Em would like to mention to everyone that they are trying a new scone recipe and need test subjects.
