Oh, also! I have written Highly Problematic blitzwing/megatron fic that turned out like four times longer than I meant it to, and that was with me trying to keep it as short as I could. My hand hurts and also I have to wake up in four hours :V YAYYYY! But if you do check this out, mind the warnings. There are many. The consent is awful, there's sexual violence, one abuse victim throws another shiny new victim under the buss, and I got to reference food issues and food hoarding for Starscream. Many bad things.
Spoiler Technically, Sideswipe was the one to kill Hunter. But it probably wasn't so much that as Hunter being sucked into the war in the first place. Kind of just, blaming everyone tangentially involved rather than looking at real cause and effect. Also, in-universe Spike seems to be weirdly charismatic.

Watching the TFP miniseries that starts it off. Soundwave has such a good design. Is this version what TGWP Soundwave's personality is based on?
I don't know if there's any TFP in TGWP at all! I think the fix largely blends the affect of G1 with the depth of personality and motivations in IDW
Ok, this is true. However... The crew of the LL are pretty tactile Megatron is trying to adjust to shipboard culture (e.g. banter) He's probably closest to Ultra Magnus after Ravage and maaaaybe Rodimus He can't hug Ravage as Ravage is a cat and there are certain instincts involved. He can't hug Rodimus for obvious reasons. (this is all a huge amount of rationalisation as to why I drew a picture) (here it is)
See this is why I like dumping sparklings on Megatron while he's on the lost light. Because small creatures that decide to adore him and want hugs and snuggles and to be held.
a bit late, but my favourite part of that whole scenario is the bit where rodimus immediately and without hesitation concludes that megatron and magnus are having a secret affair
I love how bitter he is about it too. Like, not only are both of them totally dating, but they're doing it without him and he is totally mad about it. Rodimus ur gay.

I like that interpretation, and also the one where Rodimus is like "I knew it" as in he suspected all along that Megatron had never been hugged before in his life. It just. Explains so much. Let the giant robots hug more please it's stunting their post war recovery to be so deprived
I need to get my hands on that christmas special, i still havent read it yet. Can someone post this lovely train of thought on tumblr so that icsn reblog it? @coldstars you've done it, you've found the solution. The warring parties just need to hug it out. Ultra magnus is extra big now, so he can expediate the process.
