I haven't done commissions for my paintings, but I'd definitely be willing to! I'd have to do some research to figure pricing out but go ahead and shoot me a pm if you have something in mind and we'll figure it out :)
Obviously I now need to write a fic where Pyrrha is Jesus and not Achilles. I really loved it I'm also just ridiculous.
I mean. I basically wrote that anyway. (Seriously, do not piss off Pyrhha Nikos by killing Jaune) (You will end up aura-less and somewhat on fire)
TRUE (for some reason, I'm thinking world of darkness crossover, with Pyrrha as a sin eater. http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Bound_(GTSE) I may write it.)
RWBY had an actual Pieta during season 2 episode 1, which of course everyone freaked out about when it was first previewed between seasons 1 and 2. Man, there was so much White Rose shipbait in the beginning of season 2.
Hey, not-yet-a-fan here, and I really want to know if I should get into this series. I've been on the fence about this for a long time. I heard about RWBY after Monty Oum's death... and I know the fourth season won't be the same without him. There's nothing that I hate more than feeling disappointed after I'm hooked on a series, so I'd like to prevent it if possible, and I've previously heard about the letter you guys discussed in Page 6, so... everything's kind of dissuading me from going into it. So I guess the question is: Are you guys still looking forward for more episodes? Should I go in? I don't want to relive my experience with Homestuck's ending.
honestly? I would say don't. I'm going to watch the fourth season, but I'm not excited. it's not the same without Monty, and I think it's only going to get worse, tbh. others will likely have different opinions, but from a fan who was pretty hardcore into it pre-season-three: don't.
I'm going to probably watch the first few episodes of volume 4, at least. I want to give it another chance, but I don't think I trust the writers anymore. With Homestuck, we had plenty of evidence that Hussie was a good writer and that he'd also bitten off far more than he could chew. With RWBY, we have evidence that the writers are not consistently good writers, on basically any of the levels that writers need to be good at: characterization, pacing, worldbuilding. I guess the dialogue is all right, but it doesn't carry the show. Which is sad, because everything but the writing is either really good or getting better by leaps and bounds. But I need better writing and I don't think we're going to get it, because the everything else is getting better via technical enhancements and learning the tools and tricks and workflow improvements, while the writing issues aren't a matter of technical skill. I still read RWBY fanfiction because I do like the characters and I want to know how their story ends, but of course then the writing issue is more easily solved in that realm. So I would say probably don't get started. The problems that Homestuck's ending had, RWBY has in spades. Alternatively, you could watch the first 8 episodes of season 1 and pretend the rest of it never happened. The first 8 episodes are pretty great, although very short. There are some other pockets of goodness, but not continuously enough to bother with. At least they haven't gotten to Moffat levels, yet. Or at least, I think they haven't; I've never actually watched any Doctor Who.
I liked Moffat's first few seasons, and I still watch DW despite its... uhm, shortcomings, so... umm... Mayybe? I hate being disappointed, but every so often I'm like Steven in that one episode, where I like a story that nobody else likes. ..I don't want to be a fan of something that has no fandom. Actually, no. What do I have to gain by watching it? Either way I'm not gonna end up happy so yeah.
I think you should watch it. I personally have really enjoyed the whole show, except one plot thread that was triggering just because of stuff that happened to me but it was dropped quickly anyway. It was sad. The third season was sad. But it was very good. Idk. I think you should watch it but its always your choice.
By "sad" do you mean disappointing or feelsy? Because I can deal with feelsy. Honestly? I want to, I really want to, but if there's no fandom to watch it with, what's the point? Ahh but it's so tempting! I want to know what people loved about it but just.. AHHHH THIS IS SERIOUSLY STRESSING ME OUT!!
You know what? I'm gonna do it. Fuck it, what's the worst that could happen? I survived both extremes, so what the hell.
Feelsy. Not annoying- its not a direction I would have wanted but its so well done. But so feelsy. All of season 3 is wonderful feels. Honestly I love the characters and how they grow. And how they're allowed to grow. And how the effects of fighting a forever, costly war against a soulless enemy is actually somewhat addressed. And there are so many female characters and its wonderful. There is a fandom- I don't interact with it much, though I do regularly produce fanfic, but it does exist and some of the art and stuff is very good.
