Speaking of suicidal Whirl. Spoiler: homestuck crossover trash alert and collide spoilers So @IvyLB and I had pegged Whirl as Prince of Rage initially, but... while he's a Prince, some further examination - namely, what is destroyed - made us reevaluate him as a Prince of Heart. Bc the rage might be all he's got left, and he clings to it precisely because of that, what took most damage was his self. His actions against Megatron on the LL, an attack on Megatrons self, both with the graffiti and the thing with Getaway. But Prince of Heart made me think of Dirk, and then I went and imagined that scene in Collide where Dirk signals Dave to cut his head off, and I imagined Whirl and Cyclonus in that situation.

Despite everything, those two are such hardasses. Personal headcanon: whirl is a rage or a doom player, i could see him as a page or heir
