Some days, you do serious arts. Some days, you do dumb five-minute sketches of troll kids and their lusii. If it was a functioning ability she wouldn't have minded, but frivolous past time? Spoiler: ugly laughing She would force me to rip up my stuff, burn it and or even eat it as a lesson. In retaliation I forced myself to get better so one day I could draw her portrait. Too bad she died before I felt that I was good enough. I wonder if she's screaming in the wind and ocean where her ashes were scattered. Sometimes I can still hear her. And I hope she likes it.

Spoiler: gore, squick birth My mother was attacked, her head nearly split in two while she was almost full term with me. My dad had to remove me from her, but she was in a coma. So she never "bonded" with me and if it weren't for my dad, she would never have believed I was her child; She never remembered even carrying me.
Dying doesn't make people better than they were in life, and she treated you extremely poorly, from that anecdote. You're allowed to be angry and level your art skills with spite. (And it's clearly working; that is a really well done portrait!)

I've been having a really hard time focusing, and any time I try to approach my long term comic my brain shuts down in the fog. So I stayed playing with a mini comic project. Mini comics with food witches and fun animal designs that I can just. slither into and try to make my brain stop its shenanigans. This lil girl's name is Minty and she's gonna work with a peppermint stick wand. She is a precious.

@peripheral Awesome, I like their uncompromising face and attitude. I just, really like this in general! The red lines along the arms looks deliciously proud to me, like they are tracing the energy of the portrait.
I can explain Her name is Pulse, she is Half Life's daughter and she is a brat (This is what happens when I make jokes about crack-shipping two of my OCs (Chase-Off and Half Life) because of their egregious size differences and then @TwoBrokenMirrors who has both of them as cats on a virtual pet breeding site makes them have a baby because of that and then I get enabled into designing the hypothtical robot offspring of the crack ship And now I kinda like her) (For those keeping count: 15)
