Spoiler: mtmte 36 so this hot spot. one with vague implications of a religious variety. not in the history records, either. aaaand also weird mutant robot science effects just so happens to be forgotten by Orion Pax & his Outlaw Outliers, too. riiiight after they send all the sparks to be raised (grown?registered?born?) in Nyon. Nyon. as in, Rodimus aka Hot Rod of Nyon, created sometime early-ish in the war? the one with a bunch of weird woo fate potential shit going on? what are the odds he's from this hot spot?
Spoiler: MTMTE 36 I think that's pretty much accepted among the fans. Not necessarily as an outlier but as one of the sparks from there. I can't tell how much sense the timing makes because Autocracy doesn't have a strong timeframe and it's hard to tell how old Hot Rod is. I don't know if it ever gets confirmed by JRo.
Spoiler: spoilers oohh yeah this is a big meta speculation with some on tumblr including me. also with speculation as to why Nyon was suddenly treated like shit by the Senate considering it had the shrine to the Matrix AND was where Metroplex/ Acropolex was. And also why the Senate (or well certain mechs in it) was after destroy that hot spot - was there signs that it would produce a *true* Prime? And since they couldn't outright act against Nyon for taking in those sparks -- well. Letting the city rust and cutting off servers -- yeaaah [

To be honest I'm not sure one writer to the next is keeping track of the ages across books let alone across wave 1 and wave 2. So idk. Might be a thing to ask Jro on twitter.
Spoiler: exRiD 54 Okay I am still not very into the things the story is doing with combiners (I don't want action scenes! I want psychology and feelings), but that was pretty cool. You go, Superion. Even apart from beastformers, cybertronian furries are canon, pass it on BROTHERLY EMOTIONS. Give me more of these things. MORE! I DEMAND IT! But for real, Sunstreaker being emotional over not-himself is good, even though I want the emotions to get more high-stakes before things improve. I want to see him being dumb and thinking of someone else and bad shit happening and BROTHERLY. EMOTIONS. But Tracks and Needlenose both trying to shove each other out of danger was even better, 10/10, definitely recommend. ALSO now that I have grown to appreciate Frenzy and Rumble I am glad they got a panel to themselves to be Frenzy and Rumble in. Umm. Hm. Yeah, not much... happened in this issue, it was kinda dull, just felt like things were being moved along. I am very glad people are acting to protect Buster. And fuck Spike Witwicky. Just... fuck that asshole. I don't know what he's planning to do, but I'm already 99% positive I'll hate him extra for it. OH. But SOUNDWAVE! My precious child, my favorite son, light of my life, YOU'RE LEARNING. Humans are good! We like humans! Their existence is valid! And now you can come sweep me off my feet and carry me away to pet elephants in africa and take a trip off to jupiter to your kickass robot commune and I can maybe hug your big silly robot face. I'm so proud of youuuuuu, you did a good ;_; And a metrotitan! I am very curious about that. Because Metroplex needs more friends. This is very important to me. And that does rather imply earth was a colony, right? And having that backstory in place makes me much less grumpy about various coincidences, like the enigma and blackrock and such. Does Blackrock count as the only survivor of his colony, if that's the case? I am still le confused over him, but I am having a hard time caring about a character that looks like a boring, squishy human. If he does count as the last survivor, he and Nickel should be everyone-I-love-is-dead best friends, and Nickel can feel tall for a change.
"Average Decepticon hates organics" factoid is actually a statistical error. Spike Witwicky, a complete and total asshole, is an outlier and the sheer concentrated hatred that everyone else in the universe has for him, which has spilled over and unfortunately been misdirected at unsuspecting organic bystanders since before he was even born, should not have been counted
Oooooh, I actually kind of really enjoyed Til All Are One? I REALLY enjoyed it. Spoiler: TAAO 1 okay, so the BEST thing is that my faves are back in focus again. With plenty of Starscream scheming and doing sketchy as fuck things without necessarily having purely self-serving motivations. Knock Out and Breakdown! In a panel together! Being a COUPLE!!!!! Strika and Chromia as sparring friends!!!! No lie, between those two things, I can die happy now. This panel made me laugh. Also, oh my god, I've never cared about the Combaticons, I don't need more characters to have emotions over. But oh my god, look at these DORKS
eXRID was... underwhelming. :/ I hope that things pick up next issue, because right now it's feeling like the 'OP is always right' train with a side order of boring shit. But! Spoiler: TAAO 1 I like that this is starting with something like a murder mystery, and I really like that part of the setup right now is the combaticons and the Swindle Lives movement. Like, okay, Prowl is still planetside too, right? And Rattrap was suspiciously absent from this issue as a whole, but for all that Starscream talks about waiting to be stabbed in the back, he's been delegating a lot of stuff to Rattrap. I'm betting he's the informant. And I really betting that he's probably partly behind both the 'Swindle Lives' rumors and some of the extremes of the crackdown. Starscream isn't stupid (and I'm still mad that no one is getting him HELP oh my god you're all so busy trying to plot against his plotting that you don't???? realize that getting him a little bit of help or genuine support might stop that????) and right now this is very... stupid. DESPITE MY RESERVATIONS, I AM EXCITED ABOUT WHERE THIS IS GOING.
