Hmmm, I wonder if this forum (or at least this thread) has a large amount of Slytherins? It would be interesting to poll this forum and find out what the predominant House affiliations are- I would guess, just from the nature of the community, that it would be mostly Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws.

Well, I'm a Ravenclaw normally. But I have a tendency towards trickster-y behavior. I'd generally be a bear, but if we're messing around in between groups...

I know when we were talking earlier it ended up being kind of even between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, with a slight advantage for Slytherin.

Yeah, I have a feeling that Hufflepuffs and Slytherins both split the Bear attributes fairly evenly, since Bear tends towards nurturing, stubborn, and very protective of their friendgroups.

Which would make Ravens the cross between Slytherin and Ravenclaw And Coyotes the Cross between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Intelligence and sneakyness for Ravens, Intelligence and Playfulness (the secondary Gyrffindor attribute, cheerfulness) For Coyotes.

I feel like Jackrabbit might steal impulsivity from Gryffindor and cleverness from Ravenclaw.
And Turtle steals from Hufflepuff pretty heavily, I think.

Turtle can be like Hufflepuff crossed with Gryffindor, while Bear could be Hufflepuff and Slytherin maybe?

Transfer and exchange students to hogwarts must drive the sorting hat crazy. (there´s a thought, have hogwarts and SCA RP live in the universe, if different threads. There can even be a thread for students writing back and forth)

    That works!
It's a little easier to figure out dorms for people, too, because the rules (and social etiquette) against fraternizing seem considerably less strict than in Hogwarts.
Next stop: We're doing ghosts for houses dorms? (Otherwise I was thinking some animal spirits for the dorms, but I have been reading a lot of gunnerkrigg court lately.)

    PEN PALS

weird SCA to Hogwarts transfer students that try to talk to the giant squid and spend a weird amount of time in the Forbidden Forest
weird Hogwarts to SCA transfer students that look at the eldritch abomination in the lake and collapse, nose bleeding.

Ooh, I love GC! Animal spirits might be neat?

SCA students give the Care of Magica Creatures teacher at Hogwarts nightamres because they´re way ahead of their classmates and therefore bored on class. Which can lead to pranks.

Oh my gosh I love the idea of Hogwarts/SCA penpals
I really like animal spirits vrs dorm ghosts. Like, there are probably a bunch of ghosts floating around but I think they wouldn't be tired to any speicific dorm.

"What's wrong? It's not that bad!"
    :aside, to other student:
"Can't wait to see them when we have a field trip."

Listeners, Night Vale Tourism Board would like me to remind you again that telepathic attacks on innocent British children on field trips are strictly prohibited.

    have an idea:
you know the really sweet but really bigoted teacher?
how about all the students use illusions to present as one unified gender in class (she dates back to when it was two different schools?)
