aw, that's pretty cute. The Egg Festival wedding thing.V nice. I just hate watering stuff. it cuts into the time and energy I'd rather spend on monster hunting and rock cracking. Learning how to make iridium sprinklers was the only thing that could coax me into raising a proper crop instead of like 10-15 plants at a time. and now i have thirty blueberry bushes to lament the effort of picking. Taking care of animls is hard, making things grow is hard, building stuff is hard. just let me hunt and gather, pls.
on the other hand i would gladly water and harvest plants all day, it's like a rewarding christmas day for me :DD caving is scary and people are confusing, gimme animals and crops any day
The farm animals I have right now are Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy so... fandom naming continues unabated
i have an add on that slows time just because i was spending too much time on my crops and could barely talk to anyone or get anything else done in a day.
The modding community for Stardew is absolutely rad like that, they gave me braided hair, which is a requirement for all versions of me always ...and made the fishing game possible. I had on the 'very easy' mod and it still took me a few days to get a hang of it.
my animals are named as follows: chickens: Do, Re, Mi, and Fa ducks: Sharp, Flat, and Natural rabbits: Staccato and Legato cows: Quaver and Semiquaver pig: Monody
There's a savefile uploaderator, so enjoy my farms. Knight Farm after 6 years of re-designs, at the point where I finally got 100% completion. Northern-most barn has all of my preserve jars and kegs. Clearsprings Farm, the "how much can I achieve by the end of Y2" farm. Smaller crops area and free-range animals. Pig still gets its own barn with a fence so I know where the truffles will be.
I have (amongst others) the goats Angelica and Eliza .....and piggy (who is, obviously, a pig) ((i am not even a little bit ashamed of myself but my sister punched me))
Ooh we have a Stardew Valley thread... well I bought it at the end of May and have sunk nearly 70 hours into it since then. Currently in fall of Year 2, have married Elliott. Have named most of my birds after birds of prey, my rabbit "Lettuce" (a suggestion from my sister) and my cows/goats/pigs are all named after the seven deadly sins. Also on a whim I named my farm Thunderfuck Farm (after Alaska Thunderfuck), and it's never not funny when someone (esp. Mayor Lewis) mentions it by name. My cat is Alaska.
I basically knew from hour one that I would probably end up marrying Elliott, he was the one who made me go *heart eyes* from the very beginning.
same hat I was wavering a teeny tiny bit, but when I got that little dialogue about him finding a crab in his pocket I was like, "*slams fists on table* I'M GONNA MARRY THE HELL OUTTA THIS MAN." His married dialogue is really cute, too. :3
same hat Unrelated, I finally finished all the Community Center bundles (the last one I finished was the fishing one, because by the time I was focusing on it, it was already Y2 and I had to wait for fall to get the Walleye)! So that was satisfying. ALSO the Juminos are adorable but, like, striking up a friendship with Juminos AND THEN going to the mines and seeing the slimes, which look pretty similar but whom you're expected to slaughter - well, it made me go at first, though possibly that's just a side-effect of playing Undertale. Of course they can be a pain in the ass so I stopped feeling bad about killing them pretty fast but it was a bit jarring at first. Also x2, uh. I've been down in Skull Cavern and everything, finished the associated quest, but the bouncer dude is still blocking my access to the casino? Is there a glitch, or is there something I've forgotten to do :?
Spoiler Have you been in the underpass near where you find Linus's blackberry basket? There is a little spot on the wall that has another quest from Mr Qi for you.
@budgie Spoiler ....No, I have not. I had to learn from the wiki that that place even exists when I was trying to fulfill the Linus quest. I barely ever go there. Thanks!
@garden It is a pain in the ass to find, so maybe try finding a picture of the exact location online first.
Wear one of those glowy rings, that makes it a lot easier. Spoiler: riddle By the way, what the heck does "feed the sand dragon its final meal" mean? I figure it's probably something to do with the weird pillars in the desert, but...?
Spoiler: Riddle Answer You know that massive dinosaur skeleton in the desert that's poking out of the sand? Get a Solar Essence as either a drop or purchase one from Krobus, and then give it to the skull of the dragon. You will find the last note and receive the card for the casino within two days.
Glow ring definitely helps, it turns out. Also, today I got my first ever Prismatic Shard (from an Omnigeode!!), which was awesome*, but just reminded me that... I still don't have the fourth dwarf scroll. I've gotten multiple copies of the first three, but never a fourth one. Guess I should spend more time mining in the regular caves rather than in Skull Cavern? * Spoiler The Galaxy Sword is fucking badass.
Spoiler Solar essence? Seriously? How is that a meal? I like this game but sometimes it goes a little too "Guide Dangit" (Also how did I not register the existence of a giant dinosaur skeleton? I maybe play too many fantasy games.)
