Hey there! I'm Louise, and I've been lurking here for a while now after being recommended this place by my gf, @Socket. I've always been a bit terrified of the whole forum thing due to my fear of Doing Stuff Wrong, but you guys seem like a chill bunch and I want to do the social thing more, so here I am! Some things about me: - I'm a huge bookworm. My bookshelf is a cluttered mess of mainly fantasy and adventure (Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are some of my faves), but I will read pretty much anything. I'm always happy to get book recs, although my bookcase will probably cry. - I like games! At the moment I'm mainly into more laid-back games like Animal Crossing and Ace Attorney and other point-and-click-y type games because I've lost my chill a little, but I'm also into RPGs and stuff like Dragon Age and Skyrim, although currently I'm just trying to power through my genocide run of Undertale (cries). - I really like snakes and have my own little western hognose called Pretzel. - Sometimes I draw things, mainly fanart, except when I don't because I'm useless at self-motivating, haha! - I'm vaguely brainweird? I'm hugely anxious (mainly socially, but with a generous helping of health anxiety and a general fear of Doing Stuff Wrong And Being Terrible) and I also struggle with depression and self-motivation, among other things. One of the reasons I actually decided to sign up here was because I've seen so many people with similar issues posting really helpful hints and tips and it just seems like such a nice environment??? Not to mention so much more peaceful than tumblr, which is just wrecking me recently. So yeah, hi, hopefully I will get over my fear of Doing Things Wrong and see some of you around! :D
A good reason to join! If it helps, we're generally pretty chill about whether or not there is a "right" way to do things, so honestly so long as you're not an ass (which you sure don't seem to be!) you'll be fine. Also, Pratchett and Gaiman are both A++. :D

Thank you for all of the lovely welcomes!! @Acey, That does help! From what I've seen it does seem really chill here, and I do tend to avoid being an ass at all costs, so I'm sure I'll be okay, haha! (And Pratchett and Gaiman are wonderful. Especially together. "Good Omens" was my first experience of either of them, and it was a delight. :'D) @applechime, Good to meet you too! :D That is really reassuring to hear. And I will definitely check out the pet thread!! I will seek out all of the cute animals... :D
