Spoiler: MTMTE 56/57, exRID 53 56 and 57 are gonna have Fort Max, Red Alert, and Prowl featured and are crossing over with exRID in a Rise of the Titans style thing, iirc. Which makes sense, since Fort Max and Red Alert are based on Titan Planet essentially, so I was wondering if that would ever come up. I think the Titan reveal in exRID 53 was basically setting that up too, since 54 hasn't come out yet-- they're doing SOMETHING a la Combiner Wars at least. New series/season three boots up after that, but I haven't heard anything more.
I thought that MTMTE was going to get sucked into an event related to Hasbro's upcoming Titan Returns toy line. The event looks like its going to be along the same lines as Combiner Wars? There's at least a new version of Rewind in the toy line, but I'm not sure if that'll mean anything for the comics.

I wonder if we could get a mtmte animated series, if the combiner wars one is successful. Doesn't it premiere in four days?
Is the Combiner Wars show actually based on the IDW continuity? There's a lot of background that a show would need to make the IDW combiner wars make sense. Also a lot of the models in the available images are off; for instance, Starscream still has his G1 body. I think it's probably not going to be based on the IDW comics at all, but rather just being another tie-in to the toy-selling gimmick that Hasbro is doing.
I doubt it's going to have any major relevance to the IDW series outside of Combiner Wars, and might not even have things like the Camiens at all. The toys I saw were only loosely related, and there were definitely more combiners than in that particular arc, so if anything it's just going to be grabbing concepts from IDW and other places then running with it.
Dangit, I was hoping that they were testing the waters for a IDW based animation. The internet is a perfect platform to debut something like that. It's supposed to be geared toward older audiences, so are they targeting people who just buy the toys and watch the shows?
I don't think it's tied to any of the shows either. Rather, the IDW bit was a tie-in to the toyline, rather than the other way around. Toys first, media second.
The reason it's going back to #1 is because Hasbro decided to make all their IPs in one universe and demanded all on-goings start at 1 again. So yes Jem, GI JOE, Transformers and others hasbro stuff are all in the same universe. I assume this mean Equestria Girls and Jem are in the same universe as Transformers though uh I don't think Hasbro thought this through at all. They just want to sell more stuff and don't understand having long running anything (MLP: FIM confuses and pisses them off. The reason it surived and Prime didn't was MLP:FIM was cheap to make, Prime was costing them a fortune and they didn't think it was selling enough toys)
Yeah, Equestria Girls would probably be the thing that would 'share' a universe proper with the rest. I have no problem with the share unverise stuff, just having read both DC and Marvel I'm wary of big universities because of crossovers that require you to buy every book and *shudders*. I'm still not over Marvel Civil War and the Dark Avengers and all that bs. But let's think happier thoughts! Twilight Sparkle (either human or pony turned human) meeting a decepticon and teaching them the meaning of friendship. (I mean I have the two issue Soundwave vs DJ Pony framed on my wall, so I'm not against this! I need to get my hands on the two issue covers of Megatron and Nightmare Moon!)
