any ideas how contessa ebony would react to this? she wanted vampire victoria as an ally but then got insulted— the ruin of a peer on her border would give her opportunity to expand, i guess, but also invite more strife. then again she's certainly not going to pit herself against a very angry mob right now.

 

On here according to you I guess not. I say again I am new here but almost every rpg I have been in the GM has had others help out with plot lines and Voices so to speak referance to the main character is who I will be most of the time. My Queen so to speak much like in the other thread I have the gnome doorman and gwendolyn as side people but they are speaking characters in my world.

YES obviously a good GM is going to weave in plot threads from a player's backstory! That's part of what makes it fun! But this entire game you've been ignoring what everyone else has been doing and trying to drag everybody back onto the one adventure that most of us have no reason to care about, aka THE OPPOSITE OF THAT THING GOOD GMS DO.

Now tell me: Why in god's name should I want to play a game where I'm the set dressing or sidekick to someone else's adventure that's already been planned?

And just to be clear - I was planning on just having a straightforward fighty princess show up at a vampire party! Because I thought it'd be funny! I wasn't even going to make a fuss about her having someone as the main course, but then your character went beyond what I thought my character, who is a HERO, could ignore, when she had a warehouse of people stored up for slow death like a factory farm or something.

 

I'd suggest temporary alliance for a power-grab, personally.

And I'm sure Ebony is far too sophisticated to have a closet full of body kegs. She seems the type to have dozens of elegantly dressed thralls swooning all over the tastefully ornate antique furniture, and therefore the Lady is all the more personally offensive?
"Yes how dare you use these people as kegs clearly they would be better used as ornamentation."

 

I am more than a little confused with how quickly everything is expected to go. Is this almost immediate start/reply the generally expected thing in forum RPs??
i was under the impression that 5 minute 'brb's were for skype-ish convos, not online forums, is a big part of the confusion here

 

Yeah usually people don't say goodbye in forum rp threads unless it's something that means they'll be gone for a few hours, like sleep or something. Saying goodbye for an eight minute break or actually calling pause isn't usually a thing.

 

We now have a potential fight to the death, with two gingers simultaneously, obliviously Merry-and-Pippening on a bar top. Bless improv.

@Lizardlicks, @Salem mind if I borrow Barnaby & Moth's action sequences for a quick dramatic exit/getting kicked out of the bar?

Have Eva grab Moth on one arm, Barnaby on the other and book it for the door, y'all do your own parting shot dialogue in posts after?

@Lady Kianna We kinda screwed the pooch on having Aerian join up in the bar, but he can definitely investigate the commotion! Werewolves or not, a couple drunk people laughing themselves sick and singing are probably pretty approachable. Moth & Eva at least are also highly likely to go "Well now what?" "I dunno. Hey look! Castle!"
