    Got another pendant in progress. I want to put an oval flower border around this one, any suggestions for flowers/colours?

    YELLOW ROSES! They were like a HUGE THING in the war of the roses aka suffragists vs anti-suffragists?

    Ahhh that's good!! I was thinking violets for the white/green/purple colour scheme and also sapphicness, but I like yellow roses better.

    I just went on a wikipedia trawl & learned that purple/white/green was very much a WSPU (i.e. UK) thing and yellow roses were symbolic in US women's suffrage! So there's a thing I didn't know and now do.

    oooh that's awesome :O would putting in all of the above work, or no? I know there are yellow violets...purple violets, yellow violets, yellow roses? (honestly violets were my first thought too, but I wanted to try suggest something different and yellow roses were the first thing that came to mind :D)

    Progress, slow progress! I'm not in love with the way these roses look, but I think once I put on stems and leaves they'll look much better. More like flowers, less like mould.

    Practice violets! I think I've finished all the roses I want to do now so I'm moving on to violets. I'll probably have most of the flowers finished tonight and I can do leaves tomorrow.

    (Thank you so much btw. Yellow roses was a great idea and I'm having a lot of fun.)

    I have a question! Where do you buy these pendant frame things? I'm sure if I googled, I could find them online, but do you know if there's anywhere good to buy them irl?

    I got them off Etsy, shop name Kailea. There are definitely other designs in different shops on there, too! I've seen some really neat wooden ones.

    Finished this one. I think it's a little too busy; I outlined the upper arrows in black because they were getting lost in the background, but it's not ideal.

    @EulersBidentity, I like how it turned out! And man, you're getting me all excited about this embroidered jewelry! I ordered a couple things off Kailea, now I just need to figure out what to do for them :V

    (my brain is being supremely unhelpful. i'm like 'hmm. flowers? ..........transformers. NO, NOT HELPFUL. ummm. what are things that people embroider? um. hmm. TRANSFORMERS.' it's been a very productive brain loop :/ thank you, brain, for being a team player)

    @spockandawe
    ...no but do it, because some of those little rectangle pendants would be the perfect size for a transformer's face design.

    I'll have to see what I can do! If I'm doing cross-stitch, the patterns do get large AWFUL fast, and I've got almost no experience with non-cross-stitch emboidery, so faces would be really starting out in the deep end. OH, but it does occur to me that Whirl and Shockwave have considerably less face to deal with than the average cybertronian. Hm! I've got a Joann coupon and need to buy supplies for my next cross-stitch, so this might actually be the perfect time to get silly and experimental.

    OKAY, NOT GOING TO LIE, I bought a set of earring frames for mmmmaybe trying this exact thing >_> I'm not certain, because I already own two pairs of transformers earrings, but... yeah, I've definitely been thinking about it

    Oh! And imagine doing it for either insignia with BLUE flowers!
