This thread is the worst, I say as I hungrily read the suggestions. I don't have money, I say as I add a bunch of games to my wishlist knowing damn well I will purchase them. I need a second job, I remind myself while not filling out applications. (thank you all for the recs - I was already interested in Gone Home and We Know the Devil but I hadn't thought of them while the sale was going on).
oh also the Heavensward expansion for FFXIV is half off on steam right now. BE A PRETTY CAT BOY WITH ME
I grabbed Long Live The Queen because of this thread and have done v little else for the past 24 hours. I finally managed to win with a terrifying tiny lesbian bubblegum warlord (with a dog). What a great game.
I bought Gone Home and I just finished it. It is so good. There are lesbians! I was pleasantly surprised by the lesbians. The ambiance is great - it really kept me on my toes. And the ending oh goodness. I won't spoil it for anyone, but I do highly recommend it! There are mentions of homophobia, but nothing extremely graphic, and some implications of drug abuse, but again, nothing really major. Other than that, there's nothing super worthy of a content warning - one character does get a mean letter from his father, but it definitely wasn't as terrible as it could've been.
I bought Soma. God dammit. It is 15 bucks. Look at the other Frictional Games shit too. Even A Machine for Pigs I guess.
No, I don't think so. I'm sorry. Could the game you were thinking of have been Oxenfree? I was wondering about We Know The Devil but I don't think anyone in it was wearing a green jacket. I'm always up for games with lesbians, so if I happen to find it I'll let you know!
Don't tempt me. Sibling's been trying to get me on the XIV train for months, and I already know my laptop can't handle it (it overheated and died when I ran the character creator).
Anyway, seconding We Know the Devil and Child of Light. Also adding Bastion. Heard good things about Cthulhu Saves the World, too, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. It's generally ridiculously cheap even without sales.
Bastion is a wonderful game, and the soundtrack is fantastic. I really liked what of Child of Light I played... I need to get back to it. Spoiler: CoL spoiler (I didn't know Aurora grew up during the game, so the first time she did it hit me with MASSIVE DYSPHORIA and I couldn't stand to pick it up again. It's been a few years, so maybe now I can handle it.
BUT I WANT TO BE A PRETTY NOT!DRAGON GIRL even if I need the base game first light help me mine barely runs it I feel and understand this
I would play a lizard if they'd let me be a tall lizard. But they won't. Because they're jerks. >:::((( So I'd probably play a Roegadyn instead.
yessss the tall ladies (I am eventually going to make a trans girl au ra not gonna lie) (when I have the game) (but Cherna is going to be a tiny I have already built her in the character creator).
Welp, I've updated my wishlist based on recs from this thread...the problem is now I can't decide what I actually want to buy! Help me out here? I'm looking to spend ~$40 on stuff in this list
Okay I am also here to say crypt of the necrodancer is fantastic, even if I am sooo shit at it also INK looks AMAZING as a puzzle game. Really pretyt super meat boy esque puzzle platformer also this is my wishlist
