Wait you can't trade potions around? Fuck. And there's no way for someone just signing up to know what's available or not!
You can trade potions! But you can't trade the recipes and learn them if you aren't already from the village.
...so if someone on this forum made me a skydragon potion they could send it to me as a trade thing but I couldn't then send it to someone else or make my own? Or something? Also I looked through the galaxy costumes and wow. I love starscape types and just. Wow.
people need to stop telling me about petsites because i sat down from unpacking for a bit and now i'm a barn owl
If I understand correctly, you could do whatever you wanted with a finished potion received from somewhere else but there's no way you'd ever be able to make one with a recipe and materials acquired from elsewhere.
fwiw now that beta has been running for a couple days 100% cure potions are popping up for under 2k FC, which is very manageable with two explorers.
So how do I tell what stuff is important, what stuff is autosell, and what stuff is to put up for people to buy?
stuff isn't 'important' unless you have the recipe for it and can craft it. (exception being steel, which blacksmiths use for repairs, and whatever house-building material your carpenter needs. i'm in fukkin' cloudsdale so it's marble slabs for me.) check the stall prices on rare/super rare items and stall them if they're higher than the autosell literally everything else just auto. edit; i guess the exception here would be crafted materials. if you make something (especially house items, they're big bucks) then those get sold in your stall regardless of rarity
look up everything anyway, lots of times you can buy stuff for less than the autosell and make a profit
I was inspired by the wealth of gender options and am trying to make a snake replica of my demon oc. They do have a gender beyond human comprehension and would like to be referred to as agender, thanks. That's awesome. And I'm totally sending them out into the clouds to look for seeds excellent
I will admit, I am hoarding everything right now. I don't know what all goes into costume making, but I have suspicions about some of the junk I pick up when exploring, because 2-3 things will match up alarmingly well to specific costumes.
@KarrinBlue when you select the item in your inventory a bunch of little colored notes come up under the item name including rarity and its autosell value.
If illnesses were rarer that might be okay with me, but as it is my villagers caught six yesterday - the first day I actually played. The idea that the odds are that I'll have to fork over a big chunk of change every day just so I can do stuff is a real turn off.
@Mercury fair. maybe they'll balance it as beta progresses, since we are technically playing guinea pigs rn as far as 'how do these numbers work'
I am tempted to make another account in Quetzalland so I can send myself other themed stuff... but I'm lazy so probably not.
I'm... getting more and more excited as I page through the site and read this thread. Disarmingly cutesy petsite catering to an infamous internet subculture led by mods incompetent in almost every area with a slow site and a buggy system? I'm hanging around. Half because it's cute and I enjoy it, and half because there is a 99% chance that i just hopped onto the new internet drama hellsite as it was just beginning. Will it be discourse, invited by the (honestly tho) generous gender options and the open invitation to furfolk? Will it be a money laundering hellstorm, brought on by the poorly managed real life money involved? Will there be a total mod meltdown and ban spree like the ancient site shutdowns of yore (looking likely)? I don't know what form it will take yet, but it's going to come. I have seen so many sites like this rise and fall. IT IS ALREADY RIPE FOR THE DRAMA I'm also really excited to grow internet plants.
