A really fun thing to do is watch big-cast shows and quadrant ship all over the place. Here are some of my faves.

Yu Yu Hashuko:
In my opinon, YYH is basically just a show about a kid and his quads solving mysteries.

Shego<3<Kim, duh. Except that one episode where Shego went good and they flipped red.

Other stuff too, I'm sure, these are just some random samples. I think quad-shipping is a fantastic tool for a concise way to say "this is the relationship I see these people having", and also really helps validate romantic ships that you don't see as the usual style of romance. I love that being moirails with someone is a partnership, rather than a friendship, that it's something more than a best friend and this is an easy way to say "these people aren't so much friends as they are in a relationship but it's not a sexual relationship and it's not romance as you'd usually conceive it". I think that's great.

 

Blue Exorcist: Rin <3< Ryuji is the cutest pitch relationship. I also like the idea of Rin<>Shiemi.

I have not seen any of the Avengers/Captain America movies but from what I've seen from meta posts/fan art/ fan fic Sam Wilson<3<Bucky Barnes Sam Wilson<>Steve Rogers Steve Rogers<3<Tony Stark Steve Rogers<3 Bucky Barnes Bucky needs a moirail.

 

Babylon5 G'kar <3< Londo except it flips horrifyingly pale at the end.

IIRC, I pretty much cried at that scene. G'kar<>Londo man. (I did not have a concept of "moirails" at the time, but it seemed like only someone who knew you very well should be trusted with mercy-killing you. This of course makes G'kar and Londo friends. Even if they hate each other.)

 

I don't know about Jame<3< Bane even with the bite-kiss. Undead!Bane's thing seems to be forcing Jame to be responsible for him. There's no actual "rivalry" there. And Jame kind of *does* feel responsible for him. So to me it seems more <> than <3<. There's definite pitch there but it flips pale.

Kallystine<3< Jame <_< Kallystine seems to be <3< with everyone though because she's kind of terrible.

Lyra<3 Jame (Lyra has a flush crush. But I think it would be <> on Jame's part, though in a very exasperated, "stop being you for a while!" way.)

Ganth<> That matriarch whose name I can't remember and I don't have the books with me at the moment, who talked to Ganth while Ganth was screwing around with Tori. Kirien's aunt.

 

@OtherCat: I'd say that Bane definitely had a pitch crush, though.

If these books were popular, there'd be Kallystine stans, I just know it. She is truly terrible.

Lyra is super flush crushing on Jame, yes.

It's Trishien you're thinking of, the Matriarch whose mask has vision correction lenses in it.

 

I don't know exactly why, but I really, really like the idea of Sans<>Alphys.

 

People would get accused of internalized misogyny for disliking her because she was a "strong female character." She'd be compared to Cersei from GoT.

 

Overwatch shipping update - Roadhog and Junkrat are clearly the worse most enabling moirails ever. I'd almost go flushed but for the fact that Roadie can occasionally get Trashmouse to sit down and shut up and I headcanon Mr Pyronetics Are My Life as pretty asexual.

On the other end of the pale scale, there's Tracer and Winston. I don't know, but I just feel like those two would be adorable together.

True Detective season 1: Rust and Marty have a sort of blackish two-leaf auspisticism going on. It's pretty great. Also, Maggie<>Rust.

Also, I've been trying to read Iliad and Helen<3<Paris. At least. Unless it's angry enough to not even qualify as a ship any more.

Spoiler: I mean (tw: possible non-con)

Helen pretty much literally tells Paris to go die in a battle, he's like "nah" and then they fuck. I can either read it as, y'know, egregious non-con or pretty fucked-up kismessitude.
