Update: Ok, after paying more attention, I have observed that each use of a weapon subtracts one durability point, not one point per battle.

I have one, I bought a slot to make another and I'm currently figuring out what to make them. The first one is an explorer, and I was planning to make the next one an explorer per the recommendations here. I have no coral slabs. I am in the Quetzal Palace, if that makes a difference.

Also, I want to make a hyena, but I don't like the sprites expression. :/

Oh man, I bought a shit-tier weapon of every element since I'm a bit too broke for anything better, and oh my god the super-effectiveness alone is making a world of difference for my Warrior. :D

 

Woops I don't know why I assumed you had coral slabs. Ok let me rephrase that: how much wood (construction material) do you have? Each location has their own wood, except it isn't wood but some other material, and it always has "slab" in its name. In your place I think it is a marble slab.
Definitely make an explorer, because you won't have enough anything to make use of the other professions yet. Gather hourly until you can buy the third slot, and that one gets to be an explorer too. Don't worry if they get sick, heal one once a day at the clinic, and then just carry on. The fourth one gets to be a constructer, though if you don't have enough slabs he can work as a gatherer until you do.

Hoard slabs, sell basically anything that's not a rare seed (rarity will display when you click the thing in inventory).

Can you give me the weapon names? I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what weapons I need, the item glossary being restricted to lookup without a browse feature is a huge drag.

 

Dark is Fang Club. Light is Dragon Tooth Knife. Balance is any of Icy Sword, Wooden Sword, or Barnacle Sword.
