Catching all 151, er, 368, er ... a lot: The Pokemon Infodump Party!

I need to wait until I can get a microSD for my phone and hope it actually takes first. I don't have enough space to run Pokemon without crashing my phone entirely, otherwise I'd be trying to catch things and looking into how to become a gym leader.

There's not much at my hotel sadly, but I couldn't get past the tutorial so maybe there's more in this area than I can see for now. Soon though, the mircoSD will happen and then I will be a gym leader centered in a hotel lobby because that sounds awesome.

 

if you get stuck on the tutorial like i did try adjusting your phone's gps signal. mine was set to low to do anything at first.

 

Either the initial rush of players has subsided or Niantic spent the night cramming Rare Candies into their servers, because they seem to be much better today.

I went to the park and hit Pokestops and caught things this morning. There was one other dude out there walking around looking at his phone, was not sure he was a trainer until I heard "DAMMIT NOT ANOTHER RATTATA" coming from his general direction :D

 

I want to do this but:

• It's supposed to be above 80 degrees F for the foreseeable future and I can't deal with that
• Embarrassing and I am a hypersensitive flower
• Just got my replacement phone and I'm terrified it's going to go the same way as original phone if it gets too hot

There is a gym near my house that is IRL the perfect spot for a gym. Unfortunately my phone won't let me upload the picture but believe me it is perfect... I'll try to upload a picture of it later

 

I will be so sad tonight if I go to the IRL gym and I cannot catch fighting types there.

 

Oh also the servers appear to be over stressed again

I'm sad that nicknames have to be unique, because I tried like four variations of Starscream before giving up. :(

 

I didn't name myself after a robot, but I am collecting Seeker Zubats :P Screaming babies!

...I wonder how friendship mechanics work now. Because I need to teach Starscream the Power Of Friendship and make him a Crobat, I Need to.

Gym near me. It's a hard life. Also the secondary mon there is a level 401 Raticate who is SURPRISINGLY DIFFICULT to kill.

Hey so has everyone here just been using google ccounts? Bc ive heard that people using trainer club has been having extra issues with those servers being down a lot too in addition to the actual game ones

 

I use a google acc, I don't have a trainer club acc. Some server strain errors but not many. Dunno if servers are by locality-- if they are that might have something to do with it, I live in the middle of buttfuck nowhere and I can think of four people off the top of my head (myself included) playing Go.

 

i get a lot of crashes during the day, 12-4 is pretty much reliably a huge chunk of unusable so far. we usually try to play at 6pmish or later, with another crash around 9pmish and reopening without too much crashing around midnight. i haven't woken up really early to gather more data yet.

 

So, I got pokemon go and it immeditately crashed on me :(
