Good to know we're pretty much all in agreement here. Trapping an evil being for any reason almost never goes well - it simply gives time for more resentment and frustration to breed, well, creativity, as Ford put it. Using someone as a power source is adding insult to injury.

I have, however, witnessed some truly phenomenal things happen when a being volunteers to power an artifact.

Yeah. I've been through that and while I can't say I'm a total good guy now, I can say that I was trapped before I could even be evil and that... I'd definitely feel happier now if I'd never been stuck in that damn lamp.

I don't know. I have certainly cleaned up a great many of Rick's messes, but sometimes he makes messes that are too big for an army of me to clean up, and I don't have an army of me. Why don't you start by telling me what happened to it?

Rick, mind your verb tenses. I can't tell if you are actually saying that you, Sunshine and I got into trouble in the past because you've only recently been framed by some assholes who are fooling around with time travel, or whether you're just using terrible grammar.

I can say with some confidence that slavery is evil, regardless of how it's dressed up. I'm sorry you had to experience that.

That said, I've heard stories of great things achieved by former slaves. What happened to you does not have to be what always happens, or all that will ever happen.

 

Umm.. I asked Rick to make me a love potion for a girl that I liked. Then it went bad, the potion spread, people got attracted to me, even my teacher and that got wierd, then Rick made a counter potion, making everybody insects, then into creatures that I don't even know the names. After that, we killed ourselves in another dimension, and we've been living there since.

 

*grins* Well, I'm free now. Still haven't achieved anything great, but... I do have two awesome boyfriends now, so... my life has definitely improved.

And the screwing people over part, that just came from resentment from being enslaved and trapped, from feeling like I'd never be able to be free. But now I'm free, I never wanna do that stuff again. Sorry! Just - having to deal with the fact that one of my alternate selves was also apparently into the multiple partners thing, which has been. Awkward, to say the least, since I'm very very married in my universe, to one person, who is not the person who was travelling with me when we stumbled across the memories of me being married to her and also to another person.

 

So, it's not that you're opposed to it? *sigh of relief* It's just... awkward for you to think about, that's all.
