Generally speaking, no! I've heard of people that were very happy like that. She seemed happy. It's just... a bit awkward, yes.

I have never not once been aware of any kind of "three rules."

We may have someone falling into a "the rules of my home apply everywhere" fallacy.

So, you've never read Isaac Asimov? With his Three Laws of Robotics? About how his robots can't hurt humans or let them get hurt, have to obey humans, and have to do their best not to die?

Somehow I have a suspicion those rules only apply to the robots in that world and perhaps not even all of those.

    ...no.

Also I am sure I know robots who don't have those rules.

And the robots can subvert them through technicalities. Or have those rules backfire on them.
Well... he's a science fiction author, not an actual robot maker. So yeah... his robots are entirely fictional and so are his rules. But those are the three rules people were talking about earlier.

Okay, Morty, first of all...I am sorry that happened. Rick shouldn't have given you a love potion. He should have had a talk with you about how to talk to people you're attracted to, because that's very difficult and I'm afraid I didn't get good at it until I was in my 30s. Come to think of it, I'm not sure Rick has ever been good at it.

Second of all, that seems like the sort of situation in which time travel might be justified, but it has to be done very carefully to avoid creating a paradox. That is more @sans. line of work than mine, I'm afraid. Otherwise, you're going to need a wish, and it's very difficult to obtain those in an ethical manner.

I'm very aware that you don't care about grammar. That's why it's so difficult to understand what the hell you're saying half the time. But what is so hard about not giving love potions to anyone, especially children, you idiot? Did you bother to explain the concept of consent first?

No, I actually know what's wrong with the shit you try to pull, Ricardo. I also have a wife who loves me and a family who respects me.

That was just beyond the pale, you asshole.

Hey, @Morty Smith -- if you want to talk about girl problems, you can talk to me any time. I used to have a lot of trouble talking to girls, too, but now I am doing just fine and 90% of it was just common sense: chill out, don't make lists or spend a lot of time planning, just treat them like regular people because that's what they are, and remember they're individuals, so to find out what they like, you don't ask grownups what girls like or read books about girls, you listen to them talking and they'll tell you everything you need to know about who they are and what they like.

Also, love potions are a terrible idea. Ask my sister about that one. She didn't do anything terrible like use a love potion to make someone else fall in love with her, but she did try and make some other people fall in love, because they were unhappy. It all worked out in the end, but only because she stopped meddling. Falling in love is a thing that you have to just let happen.

Oh! That's... an awful lot of organic to be I suppose.
Well, um. Likewise, I guess? Though I would really like to learn!! Even if it might be upsetting because you are so awfully breakable. But, hehe, that is kind of a me-problem I think.

That.... sounds like medic protocolls. Weird ones. ones like mine that are not calibrated right
But uh... why would robots have to be subservient to humans? that sounds like anti-mechanoid prejudice :c

Because humans create entirely too much fiction about destroying themselves. In a lot of it the robots they create rise up against them. I wonder if the subservient roles they're forced into and the denial of their sapience could have anything to do with that. -sarcasm-

Why would they deny robots sapience? I-it's organics where it's ahrd to tell if they are sapient or not! That just seems silly.
We should... help liberate the poor mechanoids the humans enslave!
