Okay, since apparently we are all Having Medical Opinions now-

-my medical opinion is that Half Life has a right to make decisions about his own care, up to and including how he decides to manage what I'm interpreting as some kind of neurodivergence. And he's obviously content with the balance he's striking re:self-care and his own practice, and he's got people he trusts keeping an eye on him.

If he wants to talk shop with other medics about ways to cope with empathy and difficult cases, that's something else, but I don't see picking on him about his coping methods being helpful to anyone.
