Do note that I said "cannot 8e permanently destroyed save 8y extraordinary means". So, no, the dreams death aren't permanent. Typically. Thus far I know of only one way in which we can 8e killed entirely and that would 8e Lord English. I can't at all rule out other methods of "dou8le death", however. It's possi8le that the revolver here could cause a dou8le death, similar to English. I wouldn't know though, as this is the first I've come across a 8eing like this.

I feel this also warrants some thought on the s8 of our 8eing, as well as the nature of the dou8le death. Namely on whether or not this is "proper". My research has led me to 8elieve that our current st8 is far from natural. More that it is 8eing perpetu8ed 8y the auspices of the Horror-Terrors. Unfortun8ely I, 8eing a Prospit dreamer, have never had a chance to speak with them properly.

    Fine then, I'll break yo+u either way even if o+nly o+ut o+f petty spite and a desire to+ keep yo+u fro+m ruining anyo+ne else. Yo+u just watch yo+urself.

The aforementioned research also leads me to 8elieve that dou8le death via Lord English is more akin to the effects of a Scratch than of so-called "normal death". Which is to say that the individual is wholly wiped from existence, with nary a fragment of their 8eing left. There is no possi8ility of return or continu8ion. Simply a white o8livion. Unfortun8ely it can't 8e as easily avoided as the Scratch could.

Honestly, everything you're describing sounds unnervingly similar to our species' existence. I'm assuming that living-- or undying, if you'd rather-- isn't normal for your species, dream-existence notwithstanding.

Do you know anyone who could talk to the 'Horror-Terrors' in your place? I would be interested to hear their reasons for manufacturing your dream-afterlife.

Huh...it appears your kind does count after all! ^_^
From what I've heard here, energon seems to be a pretty powerful life substance, capable sustaining your species for millions of years. I'm not sure it is replenished like blood, but it probably wouldn't shave too many years off your lives even if it isn't.

I know several, actually. Communic8ion with the Horror-Terrors is the unique privilege of the Derse dreamers, of which we have six. Prospit dreamers such as myself are instead graced with premonitions and omens seen in the clouds of Skaia. At any r8, from looking into matters all I have found is that it was part of a deal. Pro8a8ly part of the confusing we8 of deals made to ensure the success of "our" session; that 8eing the four separate sessions, including my own, which were linked together via the auspices of f8.

And, no, this sort of st8 isn't typical for my species. Only dreamers in the games are permitted an after-life in the 8u88les, for whatever they are worth. Porrim's caste appears to 8e the one exception to this rule with the whole rain8ow drinker 8usiness. That isn't all the same as 8eing among the dreaming dead, however.

Your death is the one way to terminate the contract, ace. Whether or not it's permanent depends on how many you've slain. I don't write the rules, pal.

i didnt knowv you actually had to go THROUGH vwith the killings. i thought i could just havwe it in case people started picking on me, and then i could (non-seriously) threaten to use it.

Not happening. Potential for death isn't the only reason why someone might dislike having a parasite in them, you know.
This is starting to sound like a massive cosmological game where the winnings are as permanent at the consequences. How did you get involved in this? Is is locked to only your species, like a religious rite, or is it something on rather a grander scale?

I apologize if I'm being too nosy.

That's exactly what it is actually! A grand cosmic game wherein the end is to cre8 an entirely new universe as an old one is destroyed and reseeded. Through my universe and our failure, the universe of our dancestors was cre8ed. Kanaya Maryam is one of their num8er. Through the actions of her and her friends the universe of humans was cre8ed. Then through their failure came another universe of humans! Each failure coming with yet another attempt at success, and with each we near the goal ever just so slightly more!

As far as how I 8ecame involved in this, we played a game together. We never really had any actual choice in the matter, though it may have felt like it. I've never 8een comforta8le with accepting that Paradox Space must play out as it must 8ut that is why we played it ultimately. We played SGRU8 8ecause we played SGRU8 8ecause the universe demanded it of us.

Also don't worry a8out 8eing nosy! I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

You physically can't. Like I said and as you agreed to...we're a bonded pair. I've been permanently allocated to your strife specibus, and I'm not going anywhere.
